uh-oh, can't find my gas card..

Went to check how much gas I had left this morning & realised my gas card isn't in my purse! Ive searched the flat and its nowhere to be seen.

So my question is this... Can I just go to co-op and get a new card or do I have to contact british gas cause I already have a card registered to the meter?!

I worried I'll run out of hot water now!

Contact whoever your gas is with - explain the situation and they'll get another card in the post. If you're worried you're running low on credit - they should be able to get someone out to put some into the meter (I know the company I used to work for would do it - especially if there were children in the house) but can't speak for BG specifically since it wasn't them I worked for.

If you give them a call they will give you the location of a shop that will provide another card for you, and a number they in the shop type in, to link card and meter.
I had to do this with my key, was crying over it! so I think it'll be the same.

As others have said.. call british gas.. I lost mine a few months ago, and because I had children in the house, they send a man round with a new card for you within 4 hours

They can do this with the keys, not with the cards unfortunately (I used to - for my sins - work prepayment electric!)
