Hi ladies,

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow and someone mentioned today they'd probably charge for an ultrasound picture - does anyone know roughly how much the cost usually is? I just want to make sure we take enough cash -- it hadn't occurred before!

Thanks guys!!

:flower:

heya its a donation in my hospital but i was never asked to donate

it was free in mine, Can you give them a call in the morning? I'd say no more than a fiver each??

Well at mine it is a 'suggested donation' of £2 per scan pic...but seeing as the lady/gent will prob automatically give you 2 pics I reckon a couple of quid will do. Mind you at my dating scan at 9+1 weeks I had 9 copies printed off (yeah had a lot of family who wanted 1) so we gave them £10 xxx

Awesome, we'll take a few pounds with us - thanks guys!! xx

i've never ever been charged anything for mine

think its about £2. The best £2 you will ever spend and treasure
:)

In my hospital its 6 pounds each! I read in some its 10 for 3 or something... so I would have a tenner just in case. I know, its scandalous at that price.

Just a quick note that the reception prob won't carry a lot of change & poss operate via a ticket system where you would pop your £'s in a machine & get tokens. So make sure you bring plenty of £1's and 50p's. Xx

Mine was 3 pounds, you had to put coins in a machine then hand a card to the sonographer

My letter said £10 but surely that can't be for 1?!
I have my scan on friday and was hoping for at least 2 pictures. If it's true, then thats such a rip off!

Hello

Hooblet, I see your from Oxford, are you going to the JR? I have my scan at the JR tomorrow morning and it says on my letter that pics are £10! I'm assuming we'll get a few though :D

at my hospital its £3 but at the hospital near my dad its £6 and they need the correct money so i will be taking £10 in coin just to cover myself

My hospital its a donation of £3 but i know another hospital is £5 per pictures. It should tell you the prices in the info leaflet that you were sent through in with your scan appointment. I got mine on Friday (letter) and it was all in there.

My hospital charges £5 per pic and you have to have it all in £1 coins.

Personally I think you should always get at least one pic free.

I'm scared to bring an envelope of £1 coins this time as did so last time and we got very bad news at the scan  But if I don't we won't get any pics if all is ok x

Our hospital charge £5 per picture and you can only have a maximum of 4 pictures
