Underactive Thyroid and Irregular Cycles/Ovulation

I have recently started taking levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid. My doctor seems to think that my thyroid problems may be causing my irregular cycles and lack of ovulation, and that by taking the medication, it will hopefully help to regulate my cycles a bit.

I just wondered if anyone else has been in this situation and found that taking thyroid medication helped with cycles/ovulation.

Synthroid definately helps me. Without it I wouldn't o and my cycles would go on for months without AF. I have been on .2 for about a year now and that amount seems to give me regular cycles.
