hi ladies!:flower:
ugh! i am SOO jealous of you all. i swear i'm the least prepared woman in 3rd tri, i don't have hardly anything done. i haven't even gotten a diaper bag for the hospital. much less a bag for me! the nursery is nowhere near done. i have TONS left to buy. i'm praying in the next few weeks i have like an energy spurt or something and get it all done. but for now...nope :(

anyone else horribly unprepared?!

I know where you are coming from! Got a cot from my neighbours and have finally got a few bits, but need so much more - don't have a hospital bag, changing bag, sheets, towels, monitor - the list goes on. Little by little is going to me my motto from now. Good luck xx

I think the best thing to do is set yourself a task for each day. We still have plenty to do and Im looking at a 38 week induction. I want to have it mostly sorted out for this weekend as we have have 10 days of guests followed by a weekend away then I want the remaining time to be just for my son.

I have a massive ironing pile so Im making myself do at least 30 mins a night this week. Im sitting on the sofa with the TV so its not so bad.

My tasks yesterday were DIY - I fitted a extra rail in the kids wardrobe, and 2 cupboard magnets elsewhere. It took me some time but I felt good it got done. Then I was able to do a few extra bits ontop

thanks! lol. i need all the luck i can get. i have most of the big stuff. i have a crib, changing table, swing, bouncer, carseat. but i still need a stroller and either a bassinet or pack n play. (idk what you call those over there! lol). but i need TONS more diapers and wipes. i need mattress pad to put over the mattress, baby bathtub, breast pump, nipple cream, stuff like that still :/

If its any consilation we havent got nursery done either yet! That will be done when shes here as she will be in with us for first 6 months. I have done pretty much everything else now though i think!!x

sarafused; i would love to do that. but i really have nothing to do around the house. and the only time i CAN do anything is when my hubby is home for his week off. so every other week i get NOTHING accomplished :/

miamia34; ours would be more done if my in laws weren't using it at the moment. we kinda have to decorate around them :/

they do sometimes but i really can't set it up the way i want to cause their bed and stuff is in there. so out changing table is in the living room and the crib is in the corner of the bedroom lol. we have baby stuff all over the house! we have stairs outside our house but none inside! be careful though!

We are lucky to have a big bedroom have got missys drawers and changing table, bath etc set up in our room and moved bed etc over yesterday so OH can put crib up and hopefully it will fit in gap between bed and table, know what you mean though i would of loved to have got nursery done:((x

Don't worry you are not the only one! I'm 35 weeks today and still need to sort out the following things:

Hospital bags for baby and myself
Babies room (has no flooring and is currently the storage room for all our other furniture as we have just moved
house)
Names - OH and I still have no names finalised
Somewhere for baby to sleep whilst in our room -we have a cot but it's way too big to put in our room
Sheets and blankets
Changing bag
Changing mat and baby bath

Plus we've just moved so literally nothing is unpacked and
Im spending all my time doing that at the moment. Run out of money until payday at the end of the month now so going to need to wait until then to buy everything we still need. This baby better not come too early!

I felt the same at 32 weeks, but can honestly say I feel much better now as they also tested me and found I was low on iron so the iron tablets have helped. I just do a little when I feel up to it. Hope you feel a little better soon x

 Errr... You lot are incredibly well organised in comparison to me!

I literally have nothing for the baby yet. Nothing at all. Nothing for the hospital, nothing for baby to sleep in or on, nothing. Meh, I'll get it as and when. Plenty of time yet

So I need - all the clothes and sundries for baby, the hospital bags etc for bubs and me, a moses basket, a cot, a pram, cotton wool/ nappies/ bottles etc and all that other bumpf.. And I still need to get myself a pair of maternity trousers 'cos I've only got dungarees

As for the decorating thing - We have to put down skirting in the living room and get some curtains and a curtain rail, then that's done.. However, I need to rehang the curtains in my boys room, put up and hang a curtain rail/ curtains in my daughters room, finish off a mural in my kitchen (it was supposed to be getting refitted but it's not been done yet), decorate my entire hallway, decorate my bedroom, finish decorating the WC (it's only had 1 coat of paint and is a mess) and decorate the bathroom. And I've got to decorate my dining room. Because it's just plaster at the mo and looks horrible. So that's every room in the house then. Eek! I need to get my nesting energy back!

I think it sounds like your doing fine!

We have most of Boo's clothes, her hammock, bouncer and pushchair but that's it, still need nappies, toiletries, linen furniture etc - we were about to start decorating her room but we had the earthquake and now we are waiting to find out if they can repair our house or need to ball it and rebuild .... So decorating is on hold, currently not sure we'll even have a house standing on my due date :
I'm so cross - no nesting for me!!

me too. craaaap. I don't even have a crib! crap crap

Keegan; you don't have a crib?! lol. look on craigslist. i bet you can find one for cheap!! :)

it will all come together. make a list of what you need. and what you want. and what you are unsure about. you don't have to buy a whole bedding set if you don't have it already. go to babies r us or walmart and get a couple of 2 packs of sheets and a few mattress pads. buy diapers and wipes and one toiletry each week you go grocery shopping. it won't take long to have everything. look on craigslist for a bassinet or playpen thingy. i was lucky with those things and both were given to me or i wouldn't have one either. i wish i had somebody to come organize everything for me now. :p

i still need to get my car seat off of layaway. that makes me nervous!! LOL

Don't stress too much. I was making a list at week 32 too and bawling my eyes out and moaning to OH because it looked so overwhelming. But when you start tackling it, its actually not that much work. OH and I managed to get everything sorted over 2 weekends and now we're just twiddling our thumbs wishing there was something to do while waiting for the bub to arrive

Make yourself a good list!

dont be too overwhelmed most of the stuff you mentioned you can buy from one store so could get done in a couple of hours :)

If you dont have time to shop for a stroller just buy a sling, it will get you through the first few weeks :)

well today we tackled some serious baby shopping!! got lots of 3-6 and 6-9 clothes, hung them all up, got 8 new receiving blankets, 3 new hooded towels, 3 new sheets, washclothes, a car seat/stroller combo and a changing pad for the changing table :) did pretty darn good today! i feel very accomplished. oh and we got a bassinet! so we pretty much have everything we need except like more diapers, breast pump and like bra pads for nursing. and a breastfeeding pillow (boppy pillow?)
