Hi everyone,

I'm 24 and waiting to try, i just want to ask if any of you have the same predicament/condition:

- I was diagnosed to have PCOS, with only polycystic ovaries as the tell-tale sign of PCOS for me. I don't have acne, excess facial hair, diabetes.
- I am 5'6 and 10 pounds underweight (i have a super fast metabolism too)
- I am not diabetic
- I also have a menstrual cycle which ranges from 22-30-35-40 days.. its just ups and downs usually around that time-frame. so i still have my period albeit it gets delayed a week or two, sometimes a month.

My OBGYN suggested i take Metformin 500g once a day BUT i fear that my body may not be able to take it because my sugar may drop too fast within the day. (I've had hypoglycemic moments)

I hope some of you can shed some light to my confusion and worry.

Much much love and thanks!

the hopeful soon to be mommy, M

I would go for a pre-natal consultation. I had a lot of burning questions and needed a pap. It's a great way for a doctor or certified nurse to answer your questions and start a blood work panel to help answer them.

My consultation went great, we held off on the blood work tests until January next year. She even let me know that I should wait to get a tdap for an update in vacs when I'm actually pregnant so it will pass easier to my baby, since I was considering doing it now to get it all over with. No luck-hah!

Despite all that, they are the professionals and can really gauge a proper answer or if they don't know, now's a good time to find out and they can refer you to a specialist.
