Saw the specialist today and had an ultrasound of Baby BMW (Braden Markus). The ultrasound tech was new, like very very new, so she seemed very confused doing my ultrasound. I dont think she's done an ultrasound on someone with two placentas and a velamentous cord insertion. Specialist came in afterwards to take a peak. She said she was so happy that Im doing so well and that Baby is doing wonderfully, especially given the circumstances. Hes now over 3 pounds (she said hes in the 75th percentile and a month ago he was in the 64th percentile!!!). So thats amazing news right now because given the situation, hes at risk for IUGR. The placentas and cord are holding up well. He was breech last month, but is now head down and seemed very content with his hands up by his face and even a foot. We even got to see him swallow. No signs of abnormalities other then the cord abnormality and placental abnormality. She said its easier to see things on me because Im so petite and a lot of the woman who come in arent, so she can get a very clear picture of whats going on. Starting next month I go in twice a week... hoping to continue getting good news and LO continues to strive.
His 3d pictures today make his face look sooo much chubbier, but here he is. He was being a little difficult as he wanted to hide, but I still adore them. Just to get an idea of how much chubbier his face is, the last picture is from my 25 week scan.
