Does anyone know if its possible to get pregnant with very low progestrone levels? I had a 21 day test and my progestrone was at .98 all of my other blood tests came back normal, my problem is that my cycle is now at 48 days and its usually around 35. Ive done a pregnany test everyday for about 4 days and all BFN's. Im worried because the last time I went this long (actually longer about 60days) I was told I most likely misscarried and I had blood tests then that came back negative also so Im wondering if its possible to get negative results because of PCOS (im waititng to be diagnosed) and Low progestrone? Also my doctor wont give me an u/s until after a BFP blood test:growlmad:. ANy help would be greatly appriciatted.

ok so heres my update:
I am now on day 55 and ive had BFN everyday for over a week, none of my usual signs that indicate my period coming. I dont know exactly what to do. If I should continue to wait it out or go in and get a blood pregnancy test. My family has a problem getting positive tests so I dont know if its even worth it. Ugh, ANY ADVICE PLEASE!!!

I wouldn't worry, hun.

I have PCOS and my cycle go up to 100-120-130 days - it's normal for us, PCOS girls :)

I'd say that your CD21 bloods were pointless as you need to test progesterone 7 days after ovulation and with your cycle you clearly don't ovulate on CD14! Your progesterone result indicated that you haven't ovulated yet.

Unfortunately I know all too well how frustrating it can be!!! No af and no BFP for month - you just don't know what's going on! I found temping is the only way for me to tell whether I ovulated and when. Otherwise you'd be wasting tons of money on pg tests.

So I'd start temping if I were you. Also, I don't think you are pg so don't worry too much about progesterone levels. (((Hugs)))

Hey- I agree with Maria- .98 level of progesterone means you have not ovulated. Progesterone has to be atleast 10 to indicate ovulation. You cant be pregnant with this progesterone level. Why dont u discuss with ur doc pills to induce period and then in the next cycle try some fertility drugs to induce ovulation.

Also brooke- how did the doc conclude that u miscarried? Did u have a positive pregnancy test? Because there is no way to tell if u have miscarried if u were not even proven pregnant. I would strongly suggest taking a second opinion from some other doc

My husband is in the army so the doctors are a little bit screwy and not the best but I have no choice but to go to them and the reason Im not on any pills yet is because after my blood tests the family practitioner that I was seeing referred me to a FS and she also told me that she believes that I have PCOS but that she cant diagnose me. Im waiting to get an appt with the FS they told me they dont have any appts available and can scheduele anything and that they will call me eventually to let me know when I can get in.... ugh its a MESS!

Also the reason they told me that I most likely misscaried was because my hcg level changed from one blood test to another it just was never high enough to indicate a normal pregnancy or at least thats what I was told.

Also Ive never had cycles last any longer than 40 days theyre usually very close maybe a day or two difference every month except for the one cycle of over 60.

And as far as ovulating I got a positive test about 3days after my 21 day tests were done.
