So I've just gone toilet and when I pulled my pants down I noticed dark marks on my red knickers. So I wiped and there was what I can only assume was browny coloured blood. There wasn't much but enough to make me worry.
My mum used to be a nurse on the gynaecology emergency unit at the hospital so she rang up, they said to come at 8am coz I won't get a scan tonight. They said to just relax.
How can I relax?! I can't help but worry. ill definitely will be getting a scan tomorrow but I might have to wait for hours.

I'm so scared

She told me it happened to her when she was preg and that her midwife said that brown blood is normally from the cervix, not the womb...and its natures may of getting rid of old stuff it doesnt want. Easier said than done, but try not to panic. Look after yourself and i'll say a lil prayer for you x

ive had a mc before and i was bleeding bright red and big clots. its nothing like that this time. but i just cant help but worry its the start of something.

i really hope everythings fine and you have all helped ease my mind just a little bit. knowing it can be quite common and it should be old blood.

I had brown blood with my last pregnancy went for a scan the following day and everything was perfect I now have a gorgeous 18 month old, like everybody has said brown blood is usually nothing to worry about, keep resting though just to be sure x x

Its natural to worry for your little bean. I worry over everything. I'll pop on tomorrow and see how you are. Stressing over it is probably more harmful, so pop a fave dvd on and try to take your mind off it the best you can. Milky drink and early bed. At least you have a first thing appointment so you havent got to wait all day for your scan. Speak tomorrow

Keep checking on yourself. If there's more of that, go to a hospital asap, it's far from good. If there's no more, then calm yourself down and go to a checkup as soon as you can.

When i had my appointment on thurs they gave me tons and tons of handouts. At least 5 stressed that spotting is ok (mentioned brown) and said not to be concerned unless there was bleeding like a period. The handouts really stressed not to worry unless it was like a period. I know how concerned you must be and I am praying for you. But like the other ladies said, try to relax and I really think you are ok! Especially if it lets up and doesnt get any worse. Put your feet up and drink plenty of water! Keep us posted!

I'm sure you are fine but any type of spotting or staining should be checked on ASAP. If it gets worse during the night go to ER.

just got back and its not great news. basically they did an internal scan and saw a sack and a tiny 1cm thing. they said it could be an early pregnancy or the baby could of stopped growing. they took my blood and i have to go back wednesday to check if my hcg levels are rising properly, then theyll know whats going on. the scan shown that i have PCOS which i thought i might have. so she said i could of ovulated really late. but theres also a chance that the baby has just stopped growing. so i have to wait 48 hours just to know whats going on. im not even getting my hopes up coz i went in thinking things would be ok but they werent. im gutted

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I've been there and know how you must be feeling. But trust me when I say it will get better and at some point it'll just be a distant bad memory. Be very kind to yourself and allow whatever you're feeling or not feeling. For me, it helped to talk to close friends and be around people but you'll know best what comforts you.
