Connah had his mmr jab on tuesday, since then he has been whiney as you would expect.
Yesterday he had a temp of 37.33,managed to bring it down but it went down to 33!
Managed to stabilise it so wasnt too worried after that.
Today,im not sure what is wrong.
here in short is what is wrong today....

Whiney all day
not eaten much at all
wouldnt drink milk
He has red spots on his bum cheeks/thighs and a few on his shoulders.
(Not chicken spots though)
His skin his patchy and round his mouth his skin is sort of discoloured...like blue-ish in some lights.
Although he is whiney,he seems perky iykwim?
no temp atm either

i rang our doc friday and he said he would be ok,saw him at our home as there wasno appts left and said its just the effects of the jab.

can anyone advise/help?

Here are 2 pics i just managed to get, they are of his right thigh/bum cheek
Like red spots, bigish and the DONT fade under the glass as i just did the tumbler test. When the glass is pressed on them the very middle of the spots turns a little white but its like a pinprick sized white bit,the rest of it stays red.

It doesn't look like meningitis if that's what you're asking x

It's not very unusual to get a mild measles rash after the jab, that does look measles like. The glass is for meningitis but the rash looks different to that and is one of the final symptoms to appear so I think you'd really know about it by now. Did your doctor see the rash as it is now? When we had jabs we were given sheets with contact numbers on. I think I'd want someone to confirm it as a measles rash and check him over fully if it was Byron. Perhaps give your dr another ring.

I think a week or two is normal? I'm not sure though Caitlyn hasn't had her MMR yet, she's having it tomorrow! Scared now

the dr saw it when it wasnt as bad but said he was ok:shrug:
our drs are crap though, they just pass everything off
think ill ring the emergency doc just in case x

When my little girl got her MMR she got the measles rash and was very sick with it

the rash you're LO has is pretty much like what sophie-lou had all over her body

hope he's feeling better soon xx

Hi Toby got spots like that after his MMR. It didnt last too long xx

morgan has a wee rash on the top of her thighs and a slight temp on off for about a week
if your still concerned give nhs direct a call better to do that and put your mind at ease :hugs: kids cause nothing but stress and worry x

thanks girls,he isnt too bad atm so im just gonna keep my eye on him xx

37.33 isn't a temperature, is it?

My son was pretty much the same after his. It's horrible when they're so poorly after something which should protect/help them if you know what I mean...

thats def not a non blanching rash my lo has had three it dies like a reaction to the jab

a lady on here posted pics of her lo she was covered it the same spots after having her mmr x

I think the symptoms can last for a week or so after their jab hun. Also 37 is the right temperature for him to be at

does look like a reaction to the mrr hon, but keep an eye on him, and if your not happy take him back to the dr's for a second opinion xx

to me it looks like a rash from the mmr

37 is the normal temp babes just keep an eye on him and if he is still the same tomorrow call the dr :hugs:
