US mommies: when did you pre-register at the hospital?

I hand in the paperwork tonight at my last child preparation class. We had the suite tour last week but b/c they were so busy with women having babies we had to see the room before going to admissions. It's not necessary to pre-register but it's one less thing to do when you're just about to have a baby.

I sent mine in at 27 weeks. When we did our hospital tour, I was around 31 weeks, and they made sure to mention to everyone that they preferred pre-registration. Again, totally not required, but just one less thing to worry about when you are in labor :)

I didn't pre-register or tour the hsp. When my water broke a month early my doctor's office just faxed my paperwork over to the hsp. I'd definitely get the tour tho and make sure you get it early enough just in case you do go early. I hadn't done the tour and when I got to the hsp there wasn't anyone at the information desk, so I had to just wander around the hsp (leaving a trail of water) until I found the birthing center. Not fun.
