We've been using the Angelcare nappy bin since LO was born, and for a while it was really good (we use the Litter Locker for our cat and they use the same cartridges so we were pros at it even before LO arrived).
Now she's on solids and her poop stinks to high heaven I'm finding the nappy bin to be pretty gross. We have two of them and rotate them around in case one seems to be getting extra smelly, we take it apart and disinfect it and use the other one in its place.
I don't know if it's because LO is bigger now and has more wee in her nappies, but there seems to be condensation on the lid quite often, and even though we are using it exactly right and wrap up the nappies tight and use the tabs to close them up into little balls before putting them in, her room *stinks* when we so much as open the lid.
I'm thinking about ditching it but just wondering what I should do in its place. We have nappy buckets from when we used cloth (our water bill went from £25 a month to £62 - argh!) but reckon we'd just have the same problem. I don't really want to use nappy bags as I already feel bad about the waste from disposables so don't want to add to it. Just chuck it in the main bin and light a candle?
