Since Thursday now, I've been having to go to the loo constantly. At work it was near enough every hour, 90 mins if I was lucky. But now since Saturday morning I'm going every half hour, maybe 20 mins. There's no pain or burning sensation, no blood, it's not cloudy and there's no odd smell. It's just the horrible feeling that even after i've been to the loo, I can being washing my hands and feel as if I bursting to go again. I'm not sure whether to go to the docs to get it checked out or if I'm worrying about nothing. I've been drinking loads of cranberry juice and water as I've read that it can help - if it is a UTI - and I always manage to pass a decent amount of urine. So it's not like I go an there's nothing to pass. I feel so drained as I can't sleep more than 2 or 3 hours during the night without having to get up to go to the loo. I'm tensed up the whole time, because i'm worried I'm going to wet myself. I was seriously considering sleeping in the bath last night, just so i could relax... Even had a cry last night, I'm just so fed up  DH said that it could just be my uterus growing and putting pressure on my bladder. But surely it wouldn't be this bad... ???

Hello
Its hard to tell, it could be a UTI, but having had one of those before, I felt really ill with it, felt sick, disorientated, and headaches. I keep having the urge to wee very often, several times an hour, and I have put it down to being pregnant! If you are worried I would check with your GP, and they will ask for a water sample. But to be honest, It doesnt sound like a UTI to me, but I am not a doctor!
Hope this helps, and best of luck!!! :hugs:

I hate to say it but your hubby, this one time only of course, could be right lol! It is possible for the extra pressure in your uterus to be causing you to need the loo more frequently, in fact i've read about it in several books and all of them mention it within the first trimester section.

I have noticed a marked increase in needing the toilet for a few weeks now and i'm sorry to say it only gets worse :(

Try to see it as a positive sign that things are doing what they should and don't let it upset you. You're doing the right thing - drinking lots of water as you should be keeping hydrated anyway and it will keep your body flushed of toxins too. Don't worry about wetting yourself though, your bladder still works and the warning signs that tell you that you need to pee are still there so you will wake up the same as you would any other time you need the loo in the night. Just try rest up as much as you can when you aren't working so that you don't become over tired. xxx I hope you feel a bit better about it soon, sounds like you need to keep your feet up, have a good rest and hopefully things will seem better in the morning :)
