So today's the day… I'd never heard of the term until I joined Baby and Bump. During my last pregnancy my dr. thought I was going into labour at 22 weeks and sent me to the ER. There, all the nurses and doctors used the term "miscarriage" rather than "preterm labour." Had I known then that if my baby had been born at 22 weeks (fortunately he ended up being full term), doctors wouldn't have tried to save him…. I'm not sure what I would have done.

I'm just really happy to have made it to 24 weeks.

MIne is next Wednesday, counting down the days!

i hit this milestone a week ago. huge relief! my DF is an EMT and he had no idea what it meant to be 24 weeks! but i think even he felt better after i explained. hard to believe it didn't use to be as early as 24 weeks.

Congratulations. I can't wait for that day. It's Thursday.

Thanks ladies. Congrats to you too, for both past and upcoming V-days. LaPinska--it used to be later? I didn't realize. This seems wild to me. I know it comes down to dollars but we're talking about human beings here. And the difference between life and death.
