Vaginal Temping

For all of you BBT experts - for my next cycle - if it ever comes... I want temp vaginally - do I start on CD1 (even with menstrual flow?) ? Sorry for TMI, all input/ tips appreciated!

I have been temping vaginally for over 2 years now. Most of the time I do temp on CD1 but that is because af doesn't usually show until I get up and start moving around. Usually once I have started af I will wait to start temping again until CD 5 or 6. In the beginning I temped all the way through my af but it was messy and I didn't like it! Sometimes I don't temp on CD1 and that is because I have started spotting and know that af will show up full force in the next day or two. I hope this helps

I didn't wanna deal with the mess so as soon as AF is done I start temping
