I'm not a fan sorry. I just think it is way to commercialised and to be honest I much prefer it when my OH buys me a little pressie on a different day because he has been thinking about me as opposed to a overpriced pressie and card saying he loves me as that is what he should be doing on valentine's day.

its all a money making racket but i did splash out this year got OH gloves for £2 and a pair of slippers
but as of doing anything on the day i dont think so

i think its just a money spinner. Usually just go out with my mum coz its her birthday, but Im working this year. its gonna be busy and lots of men spoiling there ph's and buying lots of champagne lol

its commercial blackmail! why should we have to by flowers or whatever one one particular day to say i love you to our partners?! i like doing stuff as an when the mood takes me not have to and then pay twice as much because its expected! but i married a mug, so what can you do? :wink:

I like it just to uy something stupid, I get giant miillys cookies with something embarrasing writen on, or a box of helium ballons, or erotic soft toy and chocs delivered to OH at work so his co-workers can take the piss!

I dont ever buy 'proper' presents cause I buy presents randomly throughout the year for my OH so I dont need a day to tell me too. Ijust use valentines to humiliate him. Imight get him a blow up sheep delivered this time or something!

Both my Husband and I use it got order Sushi for Dinner. I bought him a card from the dog. But my husband usually does something cute for me at work since I woulk with ALL GUYS :wink: He needs to make sure they know Im taken care of....

I am slightly biased as it is my birthday too! so i love it.
But found out yesterday that my hubby is away all day and night on my 30th birthday too! so will be spending it at my parents..

that always cracks me up - but it is also sad that they feel they have to do that to show their love. Why not get a big bunch on a random day when she's not expecting it. Much more romantic.

There was no-one down the flower aisle at Asda at 10.30 PM last night but you should have seen how many people were down the card aisle i'd say about 30!!
