I need help from you mommies using prams/strollers/travel systems daily.

I really like the Chelino twister which has a 2in1 carrycot/pram seat, but chelino also has another system with 3 seperate fittings (carrycot, seat, snug and safe).

I like the fact that with the 2in1 you have the carrycot and seat available at all times but not sure of im being blinded by that in the long run??? Is it better to rather to have 3 fittings?

I like that if you go out you can easily put baby down in the carrycot to sleep up to 2yrs, but still have the chair part available when you need it like in the shops/ earlier in the night to eat etc.

Thanks here they are :)

Ah ok now I see what you mean :)

I have a travel system that has three parts carry for, car seat and seat unit and to be honest the carry cot was a waste of money as she out grew it so fast. So I think in terms of getting use out of it the 2 piece one you will definitely get more use out of it and be more worth it money wise in the long run.

But then again it is completely up to you. What are the price differences? Xx

Price difference is not huge at all. $50 at the most. Twister is cheaper.

Thats my biggest thing that you will never carry the solid carrycot with you for just incase you might need it. Where the 2in1 fitting is always there after they out of the snug and safe seat.

it's great to know my thinking isnt that off lol....all these choices are confusing as hell and so scared i waste money on the wrong type of stuff.

I wouldn't waste money on the carry cot personally, I'd decide which of those are best and pick that pram plus the car seat and for the first little bit use the car seat with the pram (instead of a carry cot). It looks like with both those the car seat can attach to the actual pram.

I used the car seat attached to the pram for the first 5 - 6 months.

I don't think those carry cots last long at all before they're outgrown?

I mean use it like this ...

Yes both has the car seat that fits into the frame like the image (love that look)the great double benefit of the twister you basically get the carrycot as bonus without needing a separate bulky unit in the car.

Thing is, I was set on the twister for a while but then yesterday we went to babies r us and the sales lady tried to convince me the other is better hence the confusion. So i decided i will consult the best group of ladies ever

Hmm I've looked at both and I like the twister because how easily it switches around, it's very handy.

I'd not consider this carry cot at all in the equation when making the decision because it's only useful the first couple of months (3 max) but the pushchair will be used for many months/years.

When I bought my pushchair I thought long term and I'm still using it now nearly 20 months on.

I have a bugaboo bee which came with a cocoon (sort of like a soft carry cot) but it was never used, always preferred the car seat as it made my little boy nice and snug.

Don't be swayed by sales reps.

My Graco has three separates to attach to the frame.

I am still using the carry cot as I don't drive so it has been worth having it (it was free with the deal when we bought it) If we go out we just clip car seat on.

Once DD can sit up I will use the pushchair.

Don't let the sales rep talk you into buying something you hadn't planned on x

I also have the graco and love it but by 15 weeks she wouldn't lie flat in it when out and about as she wanted to look about.

We use it for her to sleep in at night (it is designed for this) so we got our moneys worth but if we had a Moses basket I'm not sure it would have been.

You'll use the pram for at least a year and the carrycot just for a few months so buy the pram that folds easily and is nice to push.

I think it depends on what you need - my travel system came with a carrycot, car seat and buggy. I don't drive so i only used the car seat about 6 times in almost 12 months but i used the carrycot everyday until lo outgrew it at 6 months old. I've never actually used the buggy part as it was too much hassle to put the seat unit on and off (it's not like the one you're looking at) as i couldn't put the car seat or carrycot on with the buggy bit on, plus i couldn't fold it one handed so i got another buggy which fitted my needs more once he outgrew the carrycot.
