Hello all!!!

I am 24 years old and have been TTC for a year now and me and my partner are now being referred to fertility specialist. (In New Zealand you have to be trying a year to be referred if you can not afford the $$$ yourself..)
so i am hoping you lovely ladies can give me some words of wisdom as i do not know what im in for???

My doctor seems to think my first treatment will be chlomid as i do not produce eggs every month and have not started a new cycle since July 23rd 2014..... so any words of support or anything i am very grateful.....

Hello! DH and I are both 26, and have been TTC for 16 months now. We were referred to a fertility specialist after 11 months as AF became completely irregular... now we have found out I have PCOS and DH has a low(ish) count.

We are starting IVF next week, and hoping for a successful first round.

oh wow so im guessing america is the place to be for fertility i just found out from my doc our referral got rejected as there is some tests i still have to do and then me and my partner are put on the waiting list for our first appointment. IVF might be an option for us and i am very nervous and if you dont mind telling me what is the price of fertility from the states if thats where your from?

Hi, we are currently living in Australia, but moving to usa early next year. We had these plans well before we found out we need help with TTC

It's very dear in the usa, from what I have seen online ivf can be around $12,000 for a single round! Your lucky if you health insurance covers it, but many don't. Here in Australia ivf costs $7,200 at our fertility clinic, then after government assistance you will be approx $3800 out of pocket. Definitely better than $12k...

IUI here costs around $1700 at our clinic, whereas it's around $800-$900 in the usa. Very different prices!

I'm in the states...my first appointment is this Thursday. Nervous but excited too....I have thyroid disease and POF, husband has super sperm. Lol. My insurance doesn't cover IVF, but it covers unlimited IUIs. My LMP was 9/25/14 - I'm completely irregular due to my thyroid.
