So I am on CD14, we had an oopsie on CD9 so I bought some cheapie tests to do next week in the unlikely event I got pregnant from it.
Well I did one when I got home (poas addict) and it came up BFP!! I nearly fell over!! The control line however was a bit smudged but the test line was pink before the control line.
Spent an hour in tescos wondering how this could be so when i got home again I did another one and it was the clearest BFN you have ever seen lol, I also done an OPK with the same sample and it was positive so I couldnt have ov'd early.
So im am a bit mystified why I got such a strong BFP on the first one, it is most definately not an evap as its is very pink, could over saturation cause this? It was 2ndmu and the BFN was 3rdmu.
Anyone else had a false BFP?
Cant post pics as my camera is broken.

Perhaps your second wee was diluted...buy a FRER and do it in the morning.
Superdrug are also good tests I hear.

Hope you get the result you want. :)

I think I might wait a few more days and then take a frer. I really think it is a false bfp but reading POAS.com, it says false BFPS are very rare!! So confusing xx

it is last week I took 3 clear blue tests all with lines and thought they were false because of their bad reps and took a pink dye one which was positive but I unfortunately suffered a very early miscarriage yesterday

I would say its the BFN taht is more likely wrong. FAlse bfp's are very rare, whereas you can get alse bfn's for many reasons!

hope u get an answer soon hun, ive also had pink lines on 2 tests now followed by negs but no A/F its so frustrating. fingers crossed for you hun x

The biggest reason I am doubting it is because I am only CD14 and we bd on CD9 so that was only 5 days ago and I got a real strong positive opk today!! It just seems too early for anything really!! It must have been a duff test, I keep reading false positives are really rare, I must be the very rare one lol xx

Edit: You know I'll be doing the FRERs tomorrow lol

maybe the ones showin bfn was a faulty batch i have had chemicals in the past and i only ever get faint bfp s with those followed by bfn then bleed so dont think ure havin a chemical hun prob a faulty test shame u cant put pics on here. maybe u shud try a digi hun xxx

I'd be tempted to say that you're not on cd14, and that your last AF wasnt actually AF and you were already pregnant, bleeding is very common in early prergnancy and can easily be mistaken for AF!

I tried to upload picture but Im not sure if it has worked plus picture is very blurry, you can see it better on negative but I dont know how to do it x

Done it

Top one is BFP
Middle is BFN
Bottom is positive OPK

The BFP is a bit smudged but in negative you can see the line better, can anyone do it for me?

I did a Tesco HPT this morning and it is a definate BFN so I taking the first test as a duff one. Will test again if AF doesnt show but im sure she will, gonna be a long 12 days lol.

Oh well, it wasnt a planned one even though a very much wanted one by me, bring on January when I can start TTC properly, I doubt the OH will let another oopsie happen lol xx
