Hi ladies

I am hoping for a bit of help with all this... I don't want to shrink or damage anything!

ok, I have non bio washing powder, and that comfort pure conditioner.... Is that the right stuff?

Do I put the clothes on a normal 40 degree wash?
Can I tumble dry the clothes? (mainly babygrows and vests- I'm waiting to do the 'proper clothes like dresses etc until she is closer to fitting in them)

how do you wash the growbags?

Do I need to wash all the booties, scratch mitts, hats and bibs too?

Can I tumble dry them?

I also have a lot of knitted and croched items from family... Do I need to wash them? If so, how? Hand wash? Machine wash? What temp?

Sorry to sound dumb!

Thanks for the help!

Xxx

Hi kaycee

I have washed all my baby clothes on either 30 or 40, unfortunately we dont have a tumble dryer

BUT

My cousin where all the clothes have come from have gone through her 3 children being washed on 40 and tumble dried

Hope that helps a little

Hi hun,

I would just wash them as you would wash any other clothes. Since they've (presumably?) never been worn I would just do a quick wash at 30 as they aren't actually dirty. If they've got a tumble dryer symbol on the label then tumble them, if not I wouldn't. Wash mittens etc just like the others! The knitted etc things I'm not sure of - on my machine there is a wool wash so I would probably put them in there but I reckon once you have the baby you won't have time to be doing this so maybe you could just try them at a normal 30 wash?!!! Perhaps just try putting one item in first and check that it is ok just in case! I def wouldn't handwash them as there is no way you'll have time (or at least there's no way I would have time!) after the baby arrives!!!

Happy washing :)

Hey Hun

It's best to wash everything first and you got the right stuff to wash it in... 40 would be fine but you can do it at 30 and it's kinder to the environment :flower:

You can tumble pretty much all vests, babygrows, scratch mits, hats etc... but you def CAN'T tumble knitted things. You can wash them as normal in the machine and like the girls say you won't have time for hand washing! But the wool will shrink in the tumble.

Have fun washing it all, it's great :happydance:

I washed all my clothes, blankets and knitted things last weekend. did it all at 40 (my machine doesn't have a 30 option) and I tumbled the lot, all came out lovely and soft and not shrunk.
