My family is in town and wants to go to a water park I haven't told many people I am pregnant them included and I don't know how to get out of going without telling them. We didn't plan on telling anyone until after our 12 week ultrasound.
Are water parks a no no while pregnant, I really feel like maybe its just a liability issue for the water park. I just can't see how a water slide can do all that much damage since the baby is still tucked in my pelvic region. Thoughts?

Found this somewhere, "Waterslides and other rides at amusement parks are a no-no, since a forceful landing or sudden start or stop could harm your baby."

I would tag along, if they have a pool area, swimming is a good aerobic workout for you while pregnant and just tell them that you're not feeling well enough to go on the rides and slides. If they persist, ask them to respect your wishes and leave it alone. That's what I would do, but I'm looking for somewhere to swim anyway.

I was wondering the same thing because we found a cute local water park that my boys want to go to. I would be scared of hitting the water hard coming off the slides. A forceful jot could always cause the placenta to separate, or something else. Even though most of the slide would *probably* be fine, I think I would be a little too nervous to go on them.

I have been swimming almost every other day and it has been lovely makes my lower back feel so much better. Wanted to enjoy this with my family but I will probably just go in the lazy river and such at the water park.
