Whilst not condoning what Rooney has (reportedly) done (he's an idiot if it's true), I don't think this is fair. You hear about the big stories about cheating - Terry, Cole, now Rooney etc.

But if you just take the Premier League, if each team has a 25 man squad, that's 500 men in just that league alone. Who yes, are, in general, paid far too much. But guys in the lower leagues aren't on super wages - are they all overpaid, oversexed prats too?

People generalise so widely about footballers being these horrible, rich, randy gits just out to get their end away, but forget the likes of Ryan Giggs, Van der Saar and Paul Scholes. Plus every other one who you never hear about outside of reports about the matches Not every man is a cheat.

Again, I do agree that Rooney is a prat in this case, but I just want to make the point that it's not fair to tar every footballer with the same brush

He is a disgrace if its true. I honestly don't know what is wrong with some men. It does show you though what is portrayed has a perfect relationship is anything but. These men seem to cheat on really beautiful women and most of them also have children. If you forgive them once they will think its ok to go out and do it again e.g. wayne rooney, ashley cole and john terry.

I have to agree you can't class all footballers as cheats my brother is a young professional football in the scottish premier league (not as highly paid as the ones we are talking about) and he and his friends are nothing like that.

A average guy cheats on his wife sometimes and she stays with him dont see how him being a footballer changes that
