We are READY!!!!

Had my shower this last weekend and got a bunch of great presents... then we purchased the stroller and Pack N Play with gift cards we got!!! I feel like we went from needing so much, to having more than enough! LOL.

I just feel more "ready" now... not in the emotional sense, as I've been emotionally ready for a while... but in the physical (we have what we need now) sense! hehe.

Plus her nursery is pretty much good to go... just got some more clothes to wash now and put away... and gear to take out of boxes and put together.

SOOOO close!!!! Just 4weeks to go!!!!

I know... silly post... but felt like sharing

It's not a silly post at all!! There is a lot to be said for the sense of peace that comes from knowing you are prepared.

We are finally in the process of moving my daughter's room (we had to add a room for her) and cleaning her old room to make way for the babies. My shower is on Sunday and I'm so excited!!

I had a baby shower at about 27 weeks and received 90% of what we thought we'd need a few weeks ago we got the rest of what we wanted and washed clothes and organized the nursery (3 times) but it was a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders. last week we got the car detailed and carseats installed so this baby can make her appearance whenever as long as shes healthy!

I am glad you received things you could use! Are you going to assemble stuff yourself or are you going to have your OH do it?

If it's anything at all on the "larger" scale, lol, my hubby would NOT let me do it... he hates me doing much of anything! It's cute- but I feel good and know my limits. I'm a doer! haha.

Only things we have to "put together" are the stroller, pack n play then a few little things that I just need to get out of the packaging.

It was such a great feeling after having my shower. I was so worried that I would have to go buy so many things afterward because I did not want to buy too much before my shower. I didnt need anything except baskets to store every thing in afterward!

My husband's parents are divorced and so this shower was with his Dad and stepmom's side of the family and I don't really know anybody on that side as my husband and his dad aren't that close. So I can't say I was expecting much but hey at least I got blankets blankets and more blankets!

We still have touchups to do in the nursery and organization. I have two more showers, one on Saturday and the last on October 8th. After that I'm hoping to be all set and ready, hospital bag packed and all. I can't believe it's so close!

We've come so very far. Congrats and good luck.

My husband's parents are divorced and so this shower was with his Dad and stepmom's side of the family and I don't really know anybody on that side as my husband and his dad aren't that close. So I can't say I was expecting much but hey at least I got blankets blankets and more blankets!

I just made sure EVERYONE was invited to one shower- LOL. Prob why such a good turnout... lots of friends and some family from CA that flew up and my step-mom and Mom were both there (my mom even invited a couple of her friends I've known most of my life)... along with my hubbies Mom and Aunt.

Sorry you didn't have a better turn out- but you said it was your 1st shower so I bet the rest will be FAB!!! Least we have showers- I can't imagine all we would need to buy if not?! I'm sure my work will throw me one also... hopefully soon as I only have through next week till I'm done!!! yippee!

I have 2wks pre-baby that I have to take, or else I lose that time... kinda silly, but that's how my work does it. So why not take it right? LOL. Since I'm scheduled for a c-section at 38wks- I'll be off from 36wks! hehe. I'm very ready for that

And yay baby showers! I bet the next two will be wonderful Yay YOU!

Hope you can work from home the week or two before she comes... that would be nice. Fingers crossed!!!
