I finally gave DS some food yesterday! He's 24 weeks and I was beginning to be nervous about starting solids (plus slightly emotional about the whole breast feeding - not needing me as much - thing:blush:).
I gave him parsnip, carrot and brocolli to play with at tea time. None of it was eaten:haha:, although some carrot did get get to his mouth briefly. He seemed to enjoy scrunching up the brocolli (I boiled his veggies for longer than ours so they were softer for him). He made a lovely mess and seemed to enjoy it. We have the whole event on video.

Might try him with some cucumber sticks at lunch, and maybe peppers at tea!

just a note with peppers the red and orange and yellow are sweeter than the green for eating raw and they come out the same as they went in so watch out for it in the nappies
