Any tips please? He is such a boob monster and especially at night! I’m pregnant and I need to get more sleep, so at 4am when ds wouldnt stop nursing, yet it wasnt putting him to sleep either, enough was enough and dh took him while I went to the guest bedroom to try for some sleep. Poor dh has been handling ds crying hysterically for 3 hours so far.
Is it just bad like this the first night? We day-weaned pretty good until he caught a stomach bug last week and dh & i agreed he could have whatever milk he wanted to get over that.
I’d be more ok with daytime nursing than night because i just really need to sleep. Even for falling asleep i would be ok but it just doesnt stop. I have even been considering the benefits of tandem nursing but at least while my pregnant body is needing sleep I just need it less frequent for now. Plus my nipples are very sensitive already. Im trying peppermint tea to lessen my milk production. Any other tips are appreciated!

Yes, the first week is “hell week” and then it gets SO much better. It actually gets way better after the first few days. Every time I night wean DH has taken the toddler to another room/I go to another room overnight. Now I can nurse my toddler to sleep but not overnight. Huge relief. Hugs!!

Oh wow, that sounds like a huge relief! I would love nursing just to get him to sleep! My husband has another month of military orders coming up in a few weeks so we better handle this now or that month i’m going to go crazy!!
I’ll let ya know how this week goes for us. Fx it’s as you have experienced. Thanks! Hugs back!

    How are you feeling?

You got this. You just gotta rip the bandaid off. It’s soooo worth it. My toddlers just wanted to nurse all the time, especially from that ghastly 4am hour onwards. My 23-month-old still nurses plenty, just not overnight!

i am feeling ok! Definitely getting tired and feeling quite big.

Thanks for the encouragement! Better i do this now than after the baby arrives. I feel like that wouldn't be fair.

I can’t believe how quickly your pregnancy has gone! I feel like you just got that bfp!!

Oh I know. I am still in disbelief that I’m pregnant again and now I’m due in 6 weeks. I tend to go over so it does still feel like I have lots of time. I am just getting very tired! But then I had this extreme burst of nesting energy yesterday that lasted hours and now my bedroom looks incredible, so I am grateful for that.
