Hi :)
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and my Gp is currently weaning me off my Venlafaxine tablets and it's hideous :(
The withdrawal symptoms range from dizziness, pins and needles in my face, unable to focus on anything and headaches.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Any tips on how to make the symptoms more bearable?

Hey, I've done this before (but before we started TTC). Can you be weaned off any slower? I found when I weaned over a longer period of time the symptoms were a lot more manageable. Other than that, drink lots and LOTS of water to flush things out quicker. Unfortunately its just a long hangover:( Tylenol may help a bit.

My Gp wants me off them as soon as possible...I must say the combination of pregnancy hormones and the lack of antidepressants certainly is a mission. I pity my poor husband  I just keep telling myself that it can't last forever...
Thank you for your reply :flower:

I did this. It was tough. I had horrible headaches and would have dizzy spells randomly come on. Drink lots of water, eat healthy (I don't know why, it just seemed to help) and it will pass soon. It's tough.

If it gets unbearable, try weaning off a little slower if it's okay with your GP. But know that it's hard but the withdrawal symptoms don't last forever.
