You know when you take a wee sample to your appointment, are you meant to do it just before you go or first thing in the morning? My appointment is at 1:30 tomorrow, so will it be ok to do it first thing in the morning?? xx
I always did not sure if you have to though. In my hospital they give you a pot to fill when you arrive so am assuming it doesnt really matter xxx
My midwife told me first morning urine and "mid-stream" (which is fun). Best thing is to phone our midwife and ask what they want. QT
Normal mw checks should be before your app and midstream. Keeping it all morning will give bacteria a chance to grow. If they want any different they will say
You do it as close to the appointment as you can so that the bacteria count they're testing for is as fresh and accurate as possible. In fact, it should never be more than an hour old.
dont think it matters, if something in your pee it will show regardless when you do the sample. i always do mine before i leave.
There you go, 6 different replies - many of them contradicting... Call your midwife and check what she wants QT
Ha, I usually do mine the night before (otherwise I have to do it in the loos at work which can be messy!). My MW said didn't have to be first urine of the day though?
