Hi guys, I will be 30 weeks on Monday coming. I have put on 1st 4lbs and went from 54.7kg to 63.4kg. I don't know if this is too much or not and am worried I'm gaining too much. I am eating more balanced as I am now eating meals instead of before I just ate when I could due to college and work and it was all junk. Also I cannot put a fizzy drink down my throat anymore, I used to love it and now all I want to drink is water, which is not a bad thing. If anyone knows if this weight gain is over/under I would be grateful as midwives are never here to ask :(

hun - think yourself lucky - im 36 weeks and have put on 4 stone! Now thats what I call too much!! yours is just right xx

Sounds good to me!! I am 30 weeks and I've put on 10kg!!! :S

That sounds pretty good to me. I read that the average woman should expect to gain between 1 and a half to 2 stone during pregnancy.

I am blissfully unaware of how much I have gained though I am going to be brave and weigh myself the week before my due date so that I can say 'woooo I have lost a stone in a week' once I have the baby

Sounds pretty good hun! I am due on monday and dared to weigh myself tonight- put on 2.5 stone exactly.. not too fussed- nothing a bit of hard work at the gym and some rabbit food wont sort out xx

I know it probs sounds shallow, I'm just scared of getting stretchmarks on places like my arms etc due to weight gain as I've got them on my sides, which I'm not too fussed about x

I'm 34 weeks and have put on about 14kg ... is that too much ?

I would say thats a good amount to have gained. I'm 30weeks and have put on about 1 and a half stone which is about right from what I've read. I do think as well that the smaller you are the more you tend to gain

im a gym instructor and even though we weigh people at inductions I never ever weigh myself and although its good to be 'aware' of your body weight and to be as fit and healthy as you can be during pregnancy I wouldnt worry too much about how much you weigh, it varies from woman to woman and size of baby, amniotic fluid, water retention, height, amount of muscle you have have a lot to do with it as well. Just trust your instincts, stick to some gentle exercise, go for walks, swim or do a pregnancy specific exercise video and eat healthy and you cant go wrong. x

Hi ladies - just popping over from 2nd Tri - I am obsessed with how much weight I have gained (or will gain) but someone posted this link before and I think its great.

I haven't weighed myself since Christmas, when I was 22 weeks, and at that point I'd already put on 2.5 stone (35lbs). I dread to think what I weigh now

The average weight to put on throughout the duration of a pregnancy is around 2 stone, so I think you're doing well

Thats exactly the same as me - im 32 eeks and ive gone from 54 to 63kgs. I am all bump and dont honesty know where it is.

ive gone from 50kg to 53 kg in 26 weeks

Since reading this thread ive been meaning to get the wii fit out n weigh myself! Wish i hadnt now, lol. Seems im piling on the weight now. Hardly put anything on to begin, like 4 lbs up to week 20. Now ive suddenly gained another 1st 4lbs. Thats 1st 8lbs in 30 weeks :( No wonder my brother calls me fatty. This second chin definitly didnt used to be here!

i used to weigh about 9st 6 , when i weighed myself the other day i was 12st 2!!!! :-o x

I'm not too clued up on how much we SHOULD or SHOULD NOT gain but I've put on 1 stone 4lb since Christmas day.. I was quite impressed lol. Shocked though as I'm the sort of person that could eat a horse and not put on an ounce lol

At 35 weeks I had put on 1 stone 1 lb. I've not weighed myself since then so not sure where I'm at at 37 weeks, but I should think perhaps 1 lb more, max.

This thread has made me feel a bit better - I was just at a friends house and she had a set of scales in her bathroom gleaming at me - I havent weighed myself at all and I've put on three stone!!! I don't know where it is either, I dont feel like my arms and legs are much bigger, and I'm eating well and not TOO much... wierd!! How much more can I put on without walking like john wayne???

At beginning of preg i was 62kgs, im now 66kgs and i dont understand why i havent put on more. I know its not a 'really' small amount so i shouldnt worry about it but i still feel as though i should have put on more by now. I thought my body is supposed to be making loads of fat stores for breastfeeding. My boobs havent grown at all either! Its like im exactly the same just with a big lump inside me.
