Weird one: Nipples lightening in colour

Hi ladies,

I just wondered whether anybody had experienced anything like this.

From fairly early on in my pregnancy, my boobs got bigger, and my nipples seemed to darken and enlarge. However, over the last few days, they seem to have gone back to the same colour as they were pre-pregnancy.

I have no idea whether this is normal but it has worried me. I had heavy bleeding a week ago (caused by a SCH), although a scan showed the baby was fine. However, now I'm panicking that something has gone wrong and I just don't know it yet x

My nipples during pregnancy tend to get a lot bigger and fairly darker too but it is something that one day they will look "normal" again then the next they are back to wierd pregnancy nipples! oh and for me they tend to be more sore and tender when they are bigger, bumpier and darker and when they go back to what's normal for me (lighter , smaller , less to no bumps haha) that's when I tend to have little or no tenderness. To me sounds completely normal as mine changed and went back and forth between normal to pregnancy nipples haha all last pregnancy and so far all of this pregnancy too so I wouldnt worry about it

As for the bleeding I don't know what SCH means? but I had bleeding on and off throughout the whole of my last pregnancy and was down to something that was completely safe and didn't harm baby at all, but I do know how scary it can be! And how paranoid and on edge about any changes it can make you but as you said scan showed baby was fine so I would try let yourself relax I know I know easier said then done!
