My baby puts herself into all these awkward positions in her cot especially. I find it sooo funny but whenever I find her like it she does look uncomfortable and finds it hard to move out of them. Is there a way I can try to prevent this?
I think she is just trying to roll back to front (she has done front to back now, as of today), but her feet get caught and she manages to get herself into awkward states that she just cant get out of. I just want to prevent it at night time, because this is how I found her this morning!

aw poor wee bambino! im wondernig how a sheet of this material (like an old bottom sheet for a bed) sort of covering the inside bars, but wrapped around so tied on the outside of the bars....ah this is hard to describe actually :S

if you can imagine "wallpapering" the inside of the crib? but using thin sheet instead - and pulling edges through near each corner and securing them there.....might stop her from sticking legs and arms through! if im making no sense just let me know and i'll do it with my LO's crib and post a photo of what i mean!

P.S - i've not tried it with a baby but we do this at my work with our patients (dementia - most of them still mobile but unsafe in bed so using bedrails - and our hospital cant afford to provide "bumpers")
