they wanted my score to be below 130 and my score was 137 :( so now i gota wait until tuesday to see if doctor wants me to go for the 3 hour test. im kinda scared and hoping my little guy and myself are healthy

 I sympathesise with you, I hope all is well with you and your little baby :flower:

Hi, I had the 3 hour test yesterday and failed too, not because of my results but because I threw up the glucose solution within 5 mins of drinking :dohh:
I have hypermesis and am sick everyday so don't know what I'm meant to do now.

I do know that lots of people fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hour, I wasn't even offered the 1 hour as my midwife says it is really unreliable and often wrong. So try not to worry! I'm sure you'll be fine :hugs:

I failed both the 1 hour and 3 hour. They have me testing after every meal and all my numbers are coming back between 60-110. So I'm not quite sure how I failed, but I'm still eating the same as I was before and not getting any higher than the 120 which is what they want me to stay under.

I barely failed the 1 hour and ended up taking the 3 hour test a few days later (as I just wanted to get it done and over with). Ended up passing the 3 hour... was thankful that I could sip water between draws, as I did end up feeling light-headed (after a 12 hour fast and a 100g of glucose spike - had to drink it within a 5 minute period).

The tech who administered the 3 hour test warned me that passing out and/or vomiting would lead to failing the test and having to take the test again. So I fought the light-headedness as much as I could.

Ditto. Although I was able to keep it down for about a half hour. My doctor is sending me on to the endocrinologist. It seems they're going to treat me as if I have GD. I find that strange but I am not sure what they do if you can't take the 3 hour test.

I failed the one hour test with a 143. They made me take the 3 hour test, but I passed well within the normal range. Best of luck to you!

Apparently they can can give you a glucose monitor to use for 4-5 days. You check your levels a few times a day after eating and they can determine whether you have gestational diabetes from that. I'm going to be speaking to my consultant about this on Wednesday as the nurses I saw yesterday don't want me to take the 3 hour test again as it's a waste of time.

How long after the test did you hear from them? Im guessing no news is good news as I had 2 hr test on 28th dec!

I failed the one hour and three hour. now I have to monitor my blood sugar 4 times a day. Its really not as big deal of a deal as you think. My numbers are pretty good and I am not on any medication or insulin. It is not that bad.

Hmm. I'm wondering why I was not presented with this option just straight to the endocrinologist and GD education classes. I'm going to ask tomorrow.
