Well, that's it. It's official...

She turned one yesterday and has been walking a few weeks now with it now being her preferred method of mobility. She is still a baby in so many ways but there is no avoiding the fact that Amelia is now a toddler.

2 toddlers? Oh hell... Wish me luck. Soon I'll have that 'brain fried, Mom from Malcolm in the Middle' look about me on a daily basis. Especially as Amelia is so high needs, bless her adorable heart.

She is sure going to make up for how easy a toddler Fin has been... Demanding, screamy, very attached, people hating, tantrumming little miss that she is. But we wouldn't have her any other way. Sure, people don't really understand her... How she can smile enticingly at them one moment and then scream blue murder in their face if they dare to talk to her or even smile back. How she STILL screams when even Grandma tries to cuddle her when I am present, Grandma who she has seen every other day since birth pretty much. But, she is also the sweetest, most loving, funny, playful, endearing and delightful little dear that I ever saw. We wouldn't change her for the world, we just change ourselves a bit each day to suit her fickle little soul.

So here we have her. Amelia the toddler. Welcome to toddlerhood.

Eddy is the same, although he's very amenable to people (apart from one of hubby's friends whom he gives a decidedly wide berth lol) he's still a clingy sausage and so flippin' cheeky he's going to put Earl's sense of humour to shame! lol

I had it the other way round...Daisy was the tantrumming high maintenance diva (much better since turning 3 though) and Tommy is placid and easy going (for now anyway!!).

Amelia sounds just like Lauren who spent the first 13.5 months of her life screaming if she was anywhere but in my arms (even OH couldn't take her & I nearly quit work because she would scream the entire of her settling in sessions with the childminder!). Then one day, she switched & became the happiest, cheekiest little girl I've ever met!

My little high needs monster seems to have finally turned a corner approaching 3 1/2 after starting the tantrums and attitude by 13 months. In the last month he's only had 2 mega meltdowns and today he was the loveliest laid back little boy....so there is hope for anyone out there dealing with terrible 1, 2 or 3!

She's so cute, it makes my throat ache and my eyes water. What a sweetheart she is. She has the most gorgeous dark blonde hair!

On a side note, I thought Fin was holding a bunch of pregnancy tests in the last pic lol.
