just noticed this quick spreding rash on the back of my lo neck there big welts and spots tbh it looks worse than the pics:(

Is your Lo acting normal? No temp or anything?
I would go to the doctors or ring nhs direct to see what you should do about it, I don't have any personal experience with this sorry x

Oh dear poor thing! Have you spoken to out of hours doctors at all?

I'd call the doctor right away...actually, I'd go to the ER with welts like that (but my kids have severe allergies, so dr. scared me!), and call the doctor to ask about giving benedryl. Make sure lo doesn't have any trouble breating.

Looks like a reaction to something. Has he eaten anything new? I would call NHS 24 to be sure anyway. Hope he gets better soon. x

Any updates? How's your LO doing?

Glad its gone. Did the Dr say what could have caused it?x

Those look like hives (as a hive sufferer & a mother of a hive sufferer). Save yourself the trouble down the line & while it's fresh in your mind, figure out what he came in contact with that was new to him. I.e.new food, new soap, new clothing, etc. If nothing was new, write down anything he came in contact with period. Might sound strange, but if you make a list & save it, if he comes down with them again (& if they are hives, he likely will), then you can compare your lists to what he is in contact with at that time & hopefully find your culprit. It took my parents YEARS to figure out I was allergic to a certain laundry detergent, a certain carpet cleaner & a certain clothing material (amongst other things I've figured out on my own as an adult). With my son he developed his first case of hives at 10 months after starting amoxicillin. So the doctor labeled him with a penicillin allergy. When he started coming down with them again & again, we pinpointed it to red dye. I'm sure there is more we haven't found out yet though.

All that being said, hopefully it was not an actual allergy. May have just been an irritation!

Was just about to say it looks like hives (urticaria) Me and my son can get these. As the pp said, maybe try working out what he has been in contact with. Glad it's cleared up and he's ok. It can make you feel grotty sometimes.
