I took an OPK earlier today just for the hell of it (I am pretty sure I already ovulated over a week ago) and strangely it came out positive. That got me thinking I might be pregnant (as I've heard that it can give you a positive OPK) so I thought I would do a pregnancy test.

It was a new type of test that I hadn't used before, so I peed on it and AMAZINGLY there was a strong second line there!!! Did a crazy little dance around the room, nearly started crying with joy and THEN.... I read the instructions and a positive result comes up as a cross, a line means negative.

What a moron. That'll teach me to read the instructions first.

Aw, I had that happen to me before. If you only ovulated a week ago, a pregnancy test wouldn't work.

Well I think I ovulated 10-11 days ago (according to OPKs and CM), but now that I am having positive OPKs again I have no idea what's going on! I either ovulated early or late this month but not sure which. Guess I'll just have to hold and see, although I have a feeling I'm out for this month.

Oh well, I am going to treat myself to a bottle of wine when the arrives.

hey who said she was comming don't count yourself out yet.... cheer up. plus you really should be using a hpt, and even then some ladies don't show a bfp til they're a week late!!!!!!

If your using one of the plus sign blue dye test, there's a chance it could be wrong. Some people get positive OPK's during their luteal phase for whatever reason. In case you haven't ovulated, maybe bd just in case. Did your OPK's ever go negative after being positive or were they always positive? What kind are you using?

It could be that your body was going to ov but didnt and it is trying agane get bding just in case you didnt ov a week ago the only 100% way to no you did ov is with BBT

I have been using Boots own brand OPKs (not very happy with them so moving onto CB next cycle), I had a couple of days of positives earlier in the month, then they went negative, then yesterday positive again.

We BD last night but I had these weird pains inside when he went in deep (sorry, TMI!) and then afterwards I had cramps around my lower back, bit like AF cramps. Not sure what that was all about.

Did another blue dye test this morning and BFN, I'm going to head to the shop later to get some different tests just to make sure.
