Just realized how crazy mine were tonight. DF got us mashed potatoes and fried chicken for dinner and I had 5 pieces! 3 legs and 2 thigh pieces. Not so proud of it and DF got upset that I am eating so much today but that and a grilled cheese is all I've had today  So it's not that bad right? He kinda made me feel bad

My eating habits went up around 5 weeks then when MS hit went straight down. Just remember, we only need 300 extra calories a day. :) When I felt famished I tried to fill up on veggies and fruit. Apples did the trick, I would eat about 3 or 4 with some peanut butter :)

But tell him that hurt your feelings and to please keep his comments to himself!

I'm normally really good and crave veggies I was extra hungry tonight though. He made me feel rly shitty for it, even if he rly didn't mean to.

You will go through the hunger phases. I remember I went through one around 16-20 weeks, and gained 5 pounds that month :0 Usually I only gain about 2 a month.
It's perfectly fine to eat a little more. Try snacking on fruits throughout the day, that helped the hunger with me. I also like to keep up with my calorie intake. Eat the same amount of calories as usual. Around 2nd-3rd trimester you will up the calories by 200-300 more a day.
My food intake is quite poor. I've had a huge thing for chili cheese fries or tator tots since week 16 and eat them atleast 4 times a week:/

Since my morning sickness kicked in, I've been eating bagels and an occasional grilled cheese. I'm eating 3 or 4 bagels a day. I made applesauce the other day thinking my tummy would like something different. Nope. I tried spaghetti tonight. Not a good idea!

Mine haven't changed really. I get nauseous if I haven't eaten in a while but I still just eat normal amounts. I do crave milk like crazy and normally I hate milk alone!

>.< All this post has done is make me want grilled cheese. Thanks.
Hehe ;)

I haven't been eating all that much. I basically eat what I can, when I can. I had pretty bad all-day-sickness the past couple weeks. After getting Sea-Bands I feel better and was able to eat today......but was so hungry I ended up having a chicken sandwich and fries from Wendy's. Oops!
But the rest of the day all I had was a couple small chunks of cheese, some saltines, and then dinner (3 lasagna rolls with sauce.)
The past two weeks I've been living off saltines and the occasional piece of fruit, juice, and water....so I don't feel that bad. I look forward to being able to eat healthy food with an entirely returned appetite.

I've had nausea since about mid-way through the 5th week. I find I can eat certain things one day and then NO THANK YOU the next.

A few highlights:

-grilled cheese (no longer can eat)
-Nacho Cheese Doritos (for about two days, the only thing I could eat)
-carrots and Bolthouse Farms Ranch dressing (still can eat - actually currently eating)
-Chef Boyardee Beef Ravoli (a new one, I usually dislike prepackaged stuff but maybe it was a comfort food thing)

Pretty much I stick to water/prenatal/veggies and fruits if I can manage them.

I am a little irritated about food. Slight derailing-- DH said the words "tuna fish" and I almost barfed in the car the other day. His job is to clean up after he cooks for himself and he hasn't, I went to empty/load the dishwasher and what do I find in the sink? Empty tuna fish cans and lids. In addition to an empty cat food can/lid. He wanted Taco Bell tonight (aren't I the one who is supposed to have cravings?) and we had to drive with the windows down in the rain because the stench was unbearable for me. During PMS, hormones always gave me a heightened sense of smell but it is getting excessive now.

Regarding the dishes...

I made a sign that reads:

SINK:

DIRTY DISHES ONLY

TRASH:
CANS
CAN LIDS
WRAPPINGS
EXPIRED FOOD

It is now taped on the window above the sink.

The last one was as I also found old spaghetti he made still sitting in the container at the bottom under the pile of dishes. I woke him and said if he does any of it again, I'm going to vomit in a bowl and pour it on him. Fair enough, right? The can/lid thing has been going on since I can remember - his mother does it too - and maybe this is a good way to break him of it.

Mine have been bad. I haven't had nausea much for the past couple weeks, but I don't feel like eating. I've always eaten when I feel like it, and I eat whatever sounds good. I made most of our food from scratch and have a garden during the summer, so we generally eat pretty healthy. But when I felt sick, I could not cook. And hubby doesn't cook. And now, I just don't feel like cooking. I have to remind myself to eat something, so half my meals now are sandwiches (egg salad seems to be my number 1 craving) and cereal (granola and multigrain cheerios). But several days of the week, I'll eat junk like ramen or mac&cheese, or I'll get fast food, because that's what sounds good. My hubby is purposely making me feel really bad about it :(

I don't think your eating habits sound bad at all, Darlin.

Still all I want is soup. I've had soup for breakfast the past 2 days. For some reason breakfast foods do not appeal to me at all. My friend gave me a ham bone and last night I made a huge pot of homemade veggie soup. I'm eating it for breakfast right now......

I've eaten soup every day this week... I don't want anything sweet except bubble gum. Been chewing lots of bubble gum...

Who knows....

Wow, my guy keeps pushing me to eat. He says he doesn't want us to have an Ethiopian baby. :D

Anyway, don't feel bad. I rarely eat fried foods, but guess what we had for dinner last night? KFC. And it was GREAT.

Also, you might remind that man of yours that HE brought the fried chicken home.

My eating was kind of out of control for the first few weeks - I felt like I was starving all of the time so I just ate and then felt guilty about it.

Thankfully I've learned to be more proactive about my diet and I now eat lots of small, filling meals throughout the day. I can honestly say I've never eaten as healthily in my life as I have over the past couple weeks, though I am still eating a little bit more than I did prepregnancy. I just hope I can keep the good habits up.

Gone of chocolate, use to love it!! now more cheese and onion rolls and potato wedges! not very healthy but yummy!!! OH and salt and vinegar Hula Hoops!!

Its crazy! I don't think I've ever eaten this much and I can't stop. :haha:

On Saturday I had: (Woke Up Around 7AM)
Breakfast:
*2 Bowls Cap'n'Crunch
*1 Cup of Black Tea

Snack:
*A couple marshmallows stolen from DD's Hot Cocoa

Lunch:
*4 Corn Dogs!!! I NEVER EAT MORE THAN 2!
*Water with Lemon Slices

Snack at MIL's House: (over a 4 hour time span)
*A Slice Of Cake (I rarely ever eat cake)
*A Handful Of Mini Snickers Leftover From Halloween
*A Glass Of Pepsi
*A Cup of Unsweet Iced Tea
*2 Glasses Of Water

Dinner at MIL's:
*2 Bowls of Taco Salad (Taco Meat, Cheese, French and Western Dressing, Lettuce, and Tomato, Sour Cream, and Tortilla Chips Crushed)
*A Glass of Water

After We Got Home: (We Live 15 Minutes From the In-Laws)
*Another Bowl of Cap'n'Crunch Before Putting DD To Bed
*Hubby and I Shared A Bag Of Popcorn While Watching A Movie
*A Pepsi
*Water Until Bedtime (Around 11PM)

Last Night For Dinner I Had:
*2 Baked Chicken Breasts
*Plate Full of Broccoli and Cauliflower

I have this sneaking suspicion that I'm going to be huge! :haha: Eventhough this is how I started out eating with my DD, and by the end of it the docs were saying (a month before I was due)I was too small and that I needed to gain 10 Lbs. before my due date.

Who knows?
