What are you doing on Christmas day?

Hubby wants it to be just the 3 of us, but I would really like to go to my parents for chrismtas day..

His mum is also hinting that she would like to spend christmas with us...

I wish we didn't all live so far apart from each other, my parents live in wales, we live in worcester and his mum lives in northumberland..

What you guys doing for christmas? might give me a few ideas on how to work this as its LOs first christmas, although he will only be 3 months old...

We go to my parents. We live less than half a mile apart, but every year we go there from Christmas eve and come home after a few days, maybe the Tuesday this year, we'll see what the family plans are
We've always done this, but used to go to hubby's family xmas eve and hubby would go back christmas day, however as we don't see them any more it shall just be with my parents

Were having everyone come to us/my brothers [who lives next door] but we are eating out, that way all our parents [my mum flying in from USA on Xmas morning] can come to us so were not feeling bad and like we have to choose, so Xmas day were at home, Boxing day were at my in-laws then on the 27th were at my dads with my half brothers and sisters.

I'm going to my mums and thats what we do every year. I like being with my family, in the morning we spend it at MILs. We go to OH mum boxing day.

We sort of see everyone on Christmas day We all live within 5 mins of each other so you will find someone popping in and out all day I will go to my sisters house and she will come to mine, my mum and dad will call to my house and we will call to theirs.

We will have dinner at our own house and then go to my parents house for Christmas night drinks

I'm having my dad, step mum, brothers and half brother round here the weekend before for a proper dinner as they live an hour and half away and we never end up seeing them until after christmas

Then we usually alternate between my mums and the in laws for xmas day and boxing day. Somehow we sent the last 2 xmas days at my mums to we're at the in laws this year. Christmas eve and boxing day will be at my mums!

We're having xmas day just the three of us as its our first year as a family. We're going to OH's mom for christmas eve and then spending Boxing day at my moms with all my family. Then we'll see his dad the day after, busy few days! It is a shame you live so far away from each other. Could you go and see your family after xmas? It might be nice to spend xmas day with just your OH and LO xx

My kids hate going everywhere when all they want to do is play with there toys so my mum and the mil and my younger brother comes to mine it's easier that way we cook fir them all x

Well, hubby is Jewish so we will be doing hannukah with his mom, but we decided to do xmas day as well, mainly to have a special day just us and the kids

Have to kee it quiet tho, if she gets wind she will want to come...

Christmas Eve - one of our parents' places for dinner
Christmas Day - morning, just the 3 of us, one of our fams will come over for the late morning/afternoon.. then the other in the evening, not doing a Christmas dinner but we'll have some food..
Boxing Day - the other set's place for dinner

I want it to be just the 3 of us home however OH think we should go to his mums since we had dinner at my mums last year. My argument now is that Kyle is more aware and will no his been taken away from his toys, and that it will be nice just the 3 of us.

i normally do the rounds on christmas day, my mum and dads, nannys, other grandas and then the inlaws and thats all in the morning and then back to my mums for lunch, then back to inlaws in afternoon, and also inlaws on boxing day to keep everyone happy.

This year me and hubby have decided that everyone can visit us in the morning so LO doesnt have to leave his pressies (not like he'l know tho ) and then mums for lunch as she only lives a few doors away and then back home in the afternoon to relax. Will visit grandparents etc on christmas eve instead.

Christmas eve, we'll either be at home or MIL's as she only lives next door, not too sure about Christmas morning, possibly the in-laws will come here, then Christmas lunch will be at my mums as we did MIL last year. Evening again will probably be with in-laws. Boxing day we're going to my grandparents with my mum.

Won't see my dad as he's abroad for Christmas, slays goes every year. Not sure when we'll see OH's dad as since he met his new woman he's not bothered about us to put it simply, he's a bit of a follower, so what she says goes

christmas morning is going to be the 3 of us then off to my moms for lunch well i say lunch it will be at 5 as she runs a pub and they dont close it 4 !! , my brother will join us there with his family.

Boxing day we are having oh's family round on the afternoon

We moved 240 miles away from our home town in August so we have decided to go back home for Christmas and New Year (Eloise is also 1 on the 1st Jan).

We will be staying with my parents and plan to spend Christmas Day with them (we were with the inlaws last year) and then will go over to the inlaws in the evening for a few hours. On Boxing day we will be with the inlaws in the day and my parents in the evening.

well this year i agreed to cook dinner :/ haha so im cooking for my oh's family... will be a busy day, as little one will have to see his dad at some point as well.. so prob get up at 7 lo will leave at 12sh and come back for dinner at 3... doesn't sound like a lot of time but he only takes him for 7-8 hours a week usually anyways .. so i think 3 hours in one day is fair anuff lmao! then boxing day will go to my folks for dinner as thats when they celebrate .. ( my mum doesn't believe in slaving over a dinner on xmas day lol ) x
