I had my period pretty much on time on August 4th-August7th.

4 or 5 days is pretty normal for me. It seemed to be a normal period meaning that I used tampons and pads.

My aunts got me all freaked out that I could have been pregnant in July and just didn't know it.

I don't WANT to be pregnant in July. I drank, smoked and all sorts of bad stuff.

Now I'm worried. Ugh.

if you had to use tampons and pads i think you got pregnant in august rather than july hun, but it could be possible x

NewMama2012 - don't worry if you drank and smoked before you knew, as long as you have stopped now it'll be fine - so my doctor told me!

A lot of women are in that position and end up having perfectly healthy babies.

I conceived on the 29th July ... so i think you would have conceived in August.

How many women actually bleed for four full days though if they are pregnant?

i have known people to have IB around there suspected af date but they didnt have to use a tampon. just changed their pads once a day or something. plus it was not bright red blood, it was brown.

Sometimes I have brown flows regardless. They do eventually turn bright red by the end (if only for a half a day before turning back to brown), but I've had it happen before where it was brown almost the entire time.

yeah ive also had it be brown most of the time and the turn red at the end then back to brown. so i dont entirely know wether its true or not.

I think an ultrasound can determine exactly how far along you are, can't it? I'm not sure though... I haven't gotten to that stage yet myself.

once there is a baby then an ultrasound can confirm the dates due to size of baby. i recommend that, good luck.

I found out that I am pregnant about 10 days ago. Clearblue digi conception indicator told me I conceived 1-2 weeks prior to Sept 10th which makes sense. I was just concerned that I was one of those "lucky" women who may have got their period and actually conceived in July. As crazy as this sounds, I'm glad to know I actually conceived in August! I did wayyyyy to much crap to my body in the month of July between stress, smoking and drinking! Pretty much confirmed August preggo tonight by the ER as my HCG levels are 2227 at 6w6d past LMP.
