thanks

In the natural parenting section there are sling addicts who can advise!

I have the Calin Bleu cotton one and love it - it's a looooong piece of fabric you can tie in different ways. I was sceptical but she loves it, it's comfy for me and she sleeps well in it. https://www.calinbleu.com/index.php

I used my tricotti when he was newborn, 2 loops of fabric which you position in different ways for different carries. Then used a bjorn from about 2 months, which I loved. But then when he got heavier it hurt my back to much, so went back to my tricotti which is very good, tried a lift sling as well, which is a hip carrier, but Noah hated it, shame cos its beautiful. xx

I used to have the Mothercare baby carrier which I'm convinced is some kind of mummy torture device! I've just recently bought a mei tai which I love, no pain at all anymore and they look gorgeous

I recommend the natural parenting section too!
I currently have a basic Tomy carrier which I was given, but is getting a bit uncomfortable as my LO is about 17lbs, so for Christmas I'm (fingers crossed!) getting a mei tai style buckle Action carrier

a close carrier which my lo loves and a baby bjorn, which he seems to hate so far,but i think hes too young for it x

I have the babyhawk - which I LOOOOVE!!!!!
LO isn't as big a fan yet, since he is pretty small - he will like it more when he can hold his head up. Right now he prefers my sling that keeps him in the cradle position. I also have a moby carrier, but I find it a bit difficult and complex to put on - I need OH to help me LOL. The babyhawk (which is a mei tai carrier) is quick and easy to put on and feels really secure and comfy!
xx

I love my babyhawk too though I used it today and I found it a bit awkward because I wanted to keep taking her out of it (for lunch then hubby wanted to carry her for a bit and then we let friends hold her). It is quick and easy to put on but the ties are quite long so trail on the floor or get tangled if you're clumsy like me. I'm thinking of getting a connecta as well, as they look pretty much the same as the babyhawk but have buckles instead of ties. Think I'll keep the babyhawk for times when I won't want to take her out till we're at home again and use the connecta for times when I take her out and put her back in in public.

I used a baby buddha when LO was younger and used it till he was about 3 months old and then i found he was alittle too heavy for it, I have tried about 6-7 different carriers since then I wont bore you with the details, but either LO did not like it, or it hurt my back or neither of us really liked it. Then I discovered the Ergo baby carrier... you can use it in several positions and right now I wear my son on my hip and its fabulous. He is pretty heavy at 26lbs and i find it easy to get around. It can be used from birth with an infant insert right upto about 80lbs I think... but I would check that one out. Once the babies are older you can wear them on your back with this one like a back pack.

I have a Moby wrap and I HIGHLY recommend them.

How long did it take you before you were confident in putting it on? I would like to carry LO in the breastfeeding position occasionally, but I find it really hard to maneuver it. I like the moby for the different positions (like cradle) but so far its too complicated for me LOL

hehe, yes i can relate! i practiced a lot around the house before i went out with her. at this point she is too small for the breastfeeding position, so the newborn position is the one that works best. so i suggest practicing, it helped a lot. 'cause once i got it i could do it anywhere and quickly! and she feels so snug and secure against me, i really like it and she does too.
good luck!

Thanks for the tips - I will have to try the newborn position, since LO is only a few days older than yours! I really like the babyhawk for how secure, easy, and comfy it is - but LO is a bit small for it yet. You have inspired me to pull out the moby again tomorrow and give it a try!

yes the babyhawk! i've heard awesome things about it. and once your LO does fit in it, you'll have choices. "hmm, should i wrap him in the Moby today? or put him in the babyhawk?"

I have a Simply Mei Tai and a Maya Wrap ring sling. Love them both.
