what came first with others contractions or waters?

how many people waters broke before contractions or who had contractions before waters?

with my first i never had regular contractions (scary) upuntill 8cm at which they broke broke my water for me so was just wondering which way round it happened for everyone else

Contractions started in the morning at 8am and my water broke at 5.30 the same evening.. DD was born at 18.07
