what can u ladies hear on a doppler?

when i put the doppler on my belly i hear a slight humming noise do u think this is the hearbeat also i hear thuds every naw and again x

I found my babys heartbeat for the first time last night and it was just like a galloping horse with a train track in the background at approx 165 bpm, I can also hear my own pulse aswell which is a lot slower and lots of whoosing noises.

It's amazes me though...all that noise and a baby sleeps through it for 9 months lol

I placed mine just above the pubic bone on the left hand side and moved it up, down and around that area until I found it, it did take about 4 days to get there tho as at the start I was putting it level with my belly button! What doppler do you have? x

Also Rachael I did look on you tube and keyed in fetal heartbeat at 11 weeks and it shows you videos of ladies going to the doctors to listen to babys heartbeat, I watched where they placed theres. Hope this helps and you find it soon x

Just keep trying and you will find it soon, it's very distinctive, I was having a listen everytime I got a spare 10 minutes...which isn't often, took a few days but I got there and so will you. Don't forget bubs is moving so much sometimes even midwifes struggle to find it and thats using the best if equiptment xx

I hear thuds aswell with mine but but keep moving it slowly around quite low down, left hand side if nothing slowly move it up and then around again

Can you take it back?

There are some on e-bay that say you can hear heartbeat from 7 weeks - I just bought one, cost £46.99.

aw i cant b botherd with stupid dopplers naw they only make u worry more than u already do neways it was only cheap 25 pound didn wana go and spend alot on 1 tbh i will just sell it on ebay naw haha at least that put my mind at rest that u cant use it till the 3rd trimester oh well scan 2mrw only time will tell x
