What contraception after baby?

Hello ladies

This is baby number 1 for me. We fell PG while correctly using Cerazette (mini pill). We will be trying for baby number 2 roughly a year after birth.

I dislike condoms and don't trust the mini pill now. I want a contraception that wont delay trying for baby number 2...

Any ideas what is best to try? xx

What about the combined pill? Its different hormones so might be more effective, cant use it if you're breastfeeding though.

Ill be going on the mini pill since Im going to breastfeed xx

I 've been wondering the same thing. I want to breast feed so i dont know what is best.
I was on the patch before, dont think you can use it while bfing but it worked great....got pregnant on the pill with my first but was using the patch for about 5 years and had no issues, got pregnant right off it.

We are just using condoms at the moment. I don't want anything interferring wth breastfeeding x

I should have said also that I do plan on breastfeeding so that needs to be taken into consideration also xx

I chose to get the paraguard IUD and never had a problem with breastfeeding or anything. It's nice because it lasts 10 years and you don't have to remember to take anything! Plus it's hormone free, so it doesn't linger like other hormone-based birth controls after removal.

Oh gosh, hadn't even thought of that yet
I hated having to take the pill every day, what a lovely year it has been not having to do that!
I might go for the implant as I don't plan on having anymore children in the near future, not sure if I will breastfeed or not yet, can you have the implant and breastfeed?

Probably will be condoms for us although we both hate using them! We are not sure yet about having another child but if we do decide then we will have to try sooner rather than later after this one because of my age (I'm 39 a month after baby is due) so we don't want to use anything that will have longer term effects. I'm also planning to breastfeed so don't want to use anything that will affect that.

I'm going to be using a persona which you wee on a few times a month and it will tell you whether or not you are 'in season'

A doctor recamended it to me as I always get moody or zombie like when on contraceptive pill, I'm allergic to latex and have never liked condoms anyway and I did have an IUD but it became inbedded into my cervix which was incredibly painful!xx

we were thinking of a iud but i am concerned about it...we want more children but i want to wait 3 years before the next one so that dd is in kindergarten. We hate condoms and never have good luck using them. i used the mini pill last time but i think it affected my milk supply. I have been looking into cervical caps

god only knows - i hate the thought of taking anything which will potentially delay having another child.

however we were using condoms safely when i fell pregnant. in fact, in our entire relationship we always used a condom and never had an accident or a split. hence the bloody shock of this beautiful baby xx
