What did you do with your positive tests?

I've currently got 4 used tests - positives :happydance: in a keepsake box in my room, I thought it would be nice to keep them and even put together a baby box with scans, tests and other momentos... Only problem is my used tests are turning more and more yellow and yucky and the blue cross that means positive is fading. Does anyone have any tips on 'preserving' the tests because I don't want to throw them out (superstitious ) but at the same time they're getting sort of ... Eww.:nope:

Did anyone else keep theirs as a keepsake? Or did you just bin them? Would love to hear what you all did to remember the day you found out ..

I still have mine from my first pregnancy with my son who is now 3 years old, but they are all dark now. I took four this time around, two that had lines and two digis. One of the lined ones have already faded and the other is turning yellow as well. But the clearblue ones are supposed to stay the way they are saying "Pregnant" for up to 6 months, I think.

I ended up just throwing mine out but I took a picture of it saying 'pregnant'

you can put them in a sealed bag with a little silica bag in it so it absorbs some humidity and they're stored in a protective atmosphere (similar to how they are when you purchased them). that should stop the oxidation of the paper strip a bit!

I took 3 tests (one First Response and 2 Clear Blue weeks estimator). I saved them all to show hubby when I told him today, but the first CB test already disappeared. The FR test is still in tact. I have the FR and remaining CB test in a plastic baggie. I also took pictures for the keepsake :)

The clearblue are supposed to stay this way 6 months? I feel cheated, it cost me 14 euros and lasted hardly 24 hours before the screen went blank!

I have my frer's in a drawer, the do look a bit yellow, but still show the lines well. I threw away the cheap tests (I think) I've kept all the photos I took though, probably the best way of preserving in the long run

Clearblue digitals definitely only last for 24 hours.

I have my FRERs in a plastic bag. My urine is never very yellow (I drink way too much water) so they dried just fine, the dye just has turned a much darker shade of red.

My FR digital lasted a while but eventually faded. My normal FRER is slightly yellow but it's still good. I have it in a box because my fiance was tired of looking at it underneath the sink lol!

Mine have gone yellow now. I'm not too bothered though as I took a few pictures :)

Mine went in the garbage after a few days. Fiance thought it was gross to keep the "pee sticks" so I took a few pics for if i want to make a memory box of something.

My clear blue digi still says pregnant and i'll be 10 weeks tomorrow. The 3+ went away but it definitely still says pregnant. My husband keeps it in his dresser drawer.

My frer are getting yellow and my cb all disappeared within 48 hours! I threw the cbs away and the frers are next to go! I took pics and will add them to album :) I also figure if I ever wanted tests for photo shoots in the future I could just take a new one as it will still turn positive and not be yellow :)

I put mine in a baggy in my shadow box along with my first picked wild flower he gave me, first movie stubs, first fair stubs and more! It will be a great thing to have for our grandkids. Who knows by then they could use my DNA to clone me! Lol!

I have my son's still from October 2011. The blue dye test turned a gross color and line is odd but the pink dye test looks fine : )

I'll keep one of mine. I still have 2 from when I had my ds nearly 6yr ago lol

I still have my FRER tests. They aren't yellowed or anything but the line is still very clearly there! I plan on saving them and putting it in a baby book possibly lol

I still have mine from my little girl in a little keepsake box and there still visible and there 2.5 years old. Kept these ones two and there all first response tests

My digis went blank after 24 hours so those got tossed but the dollar tree tests still have their lines, although I was looking at them yesterday thinking "hmmm I did put pee in this." So I think today they'll get tossed out:haha:

I kept my only test (first response) from first pregnancy for a long time. Probably up until he was 7-8 months old! Then threw it away. It stayed well but yellow.

The ones I took this time I threw away. I took a pic to send to hubby n but they were blue dye (equaline brand to first response) and the one I took at 12 dpo had already faded by the next day so I figured no reason to save
