What do contractions feel like?

I don't think i'm having them, but I know that something is odd. I keep getting regular (8-10 mins apart) back spasms is the best way I can describe it and it takes my breath away. I don't think my bump is getting hard but as I'm leaning over my ball it is very hard to tell.

I want to know what real contractions feel like so I will know if I get any.

It's hard to describe, I never had back labour pains for me it was all in the front, but trust me you will know when it's real contractions, there is no doubting it! Sounds like you are in early labour hun, I was for about 5days then bang, my waters went and the obvious contractions started. I had regular (3-5 mins) braxtons for about 5days before x

i had exactly htese back pains with both of mine, and each was born within 6 hours of the first pain so you could be on for a crimbo baby x

mine started in my back too, like bad period pains and period back ache. lots of luck to you xx
