I have a lie flat pram body for my travel system which I plan on using for the first six months or so.
Do I need to put a sheet on the matress?
And when Im out and about, do I just make sure baby is warm enough (bearing in mind it will be summer so hopefully warm!)
Do I just put baby in a jacket and lie them in or will they need a blanket or something as well? I cant help but think baby will be a bit exposed if not wrapped up in something?
It also has a zip on cover, will baby get too hot with this over it?
Sorry for all the Qs!

Yeah it's best to get some sheets for the pram apparently, I got some cheap from Asda :)

Not quite sure on the blanket thing, I think I probably will use one but just stick them in a few layers of clothing so you can always take some off :)

moses basket sheets should fit the pram but i would jus put a few layers on baby depending on where you are i would make sure you have a couple of warmer coats cause there is no guarente with the weather x

im just guna put a thin sheet in the bottom of the pram so if baby is sick i can just take this out easily and wash it. x

Hi!

Im so glad you posted this thread as I was going to ask the same thing. I am totally confused about what blankets I'll need for the pram, and Moses Basket too! In fact, Im not even sure what I need for the cot... blankets? sheets? throws? do we need a sheet for the top of the pram mattress ? and do we use a sheet and a blanket for the top? and what about the cover that comes with the pram? etc etc etc..BAFFLING! I have NO idea. I am Due in May so It will be hot? So will the baby get too hot/cold etc lol.. If i hear any good tips Ill get you know!

Ps there should be a book called "pram blankets for dummies" Id buy it!

You can just use cot sheets as an undersheet and fold it in half if you kow what i mean, crib sheets are needed for such a short space of time, but up to you if you want to buy both of course!

Even when you have a summer baby, it was 32 degrees when ds was born the health visitor said i still need a hat on him and for him to be wrapped in a blanket (less blankets than a winter baby obviously!), as they cannot regulate their temperature.

So when out in the pram in the summber i guess a babygrow, a hat and one blanket wrapped around, and one laid accross would be fine.

I wouldnt stress to much, you will honestly know what is right for bubs when they are here, we spend all this time worrying but as a general rule it comes pretty naturally when baby has arrived.

xxxx

Thanks everyone. I already have 4 moses basket size sheets so can use them as well. I guess it makes sense incase of any leaking!!!

blankets i would use a fleece blanket in winter and a cellular one in spring summer or when it warms up!

DEFO put sheets on it! My LO slavers, dribbles and pukes on them, guaranteed!!!
