What do u class as CD1?

Hi

I have been trying to work out when I will ovulate and have read that CD1 is when you have full red flow not spotting. Wednesday 8th evening I had brown cm then on the Thursday I had light red when wiped- enough to wear a regular tampon, it would spot in the toilet when going for a wee (sorry tmi). It wasn't until the Friday that it was darker red.

So which day would I class as CD1? Thursday or Friday??
