Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for easing off the nausea, I had it 24 hours a day for about 5-6 months with my son and have been feeling even worse this time! I'm not complaining cos I know it's for a good cause, but if anyone has any helpfully tips I'd love to hear them. I feel so bleughh!

Hope everyone else is well :) x x x

I found that adding a slice of fresh lemon to my water every day helped ease the nausea, especially when I was at work.
Ginger biscuits were also good for me - or you could add a slice of fresh ginger to hot water to make a ginger tea - also very good.
Fresh air helps so make sure you step outside where possible.
I hope some of this helps!

i fancied something to eat but i did not know what. Plus if i did not eat i would feel worse. So i was in asda and i saw the orange trident gum and my mouth started watering. I got some and oh my god it worked. I don't know if it was the bit of sugar that helped or the chewing action but it saved me for about 3 weeks. :) xx

Crackers worked for like a week then nothing else would work. Got some sea bands yesterday and felt like it made no difference but this morning i felt better waking up, got worse as the day has gone on but no where near what i was like yesterday. Could be coincidence, could be working ? maybe worth a try. I started a thread on it, and someone mentioned wearing these and trying the other nausea tips like ginger, so gonna do that too

Ive found that eating something small every 2-3 hours is working for me. Its worse if i dont eat (which is not hard as ive lost my appetite completely).
Ive also found that sweets are making me fel worse - unless theyre very sour (sherbet lemons, etc)
I seem to be best of with salt and vinegar crisps.....
I tried the sea bands but they made me feel really dizzy and more sick than before so i guess its an individual thing.
Hope that helps and you find something that works for you :hugs: xx

I've got sickness and nausea 24/7 its been unbearable at times, also its a total struggle to eat as my appitite is zero at the moment. I've found sea salted crisps help and sucking on a ginger nut biscuit and ice water. I dont know if is just me but ive found not putting too much food on my plate helps too as i cant be overfaced as that just makes me retch, and not getting over heated as that makes the nausea worse. Hopefully less than 2 weeks to go of this :happydance: (maybe wishful thinking that it stops at 12 weeks?!?)

The only thing that really works for me is to actually be sick :/ I hate it. But I feel tonnes better afterwards x

Protein. Eat as much protein as you can. I detest peanut butter but I started making pb and marshmallow fluff sandwiches as an in between meal filler. Sometimes, I'll even just eat a spoonful of pb but I have to put chocolate chips in it to stomach it. lol.

Ginger beer did wonders for me last time round! I've bought a 2 litre bottle for when it starts this time x

When it got really bad, I would suck on hard candies (I had orange flavored, have also heard mints are good), and that helped. Eating snacks (apple slices, dried fruit, whole grain crackers, etc.) also helped.

Ginger biscuits work really well for me! I read that if you have 1 or 2 before getting out of bed in the morning (when my sickness seems to be worst) it can ease it and it worked this morning! I have them in my bag and have them throughout the day whenever I can feel myself starting to feel icky.

Thankyou everyone! this is really helpfull, i will definately be trying some of these ideas! I have felt so sick all day today! thankyou again! x x x
