Congratulations lace&pearls!!! I'm so happy for you!! Wishing you a very h&h 9months!!! :) :wohoo:

Thank You I hope everything is going well at home! :) x

Ds is amazing!! I feel so lucky every time I cuddle him <3

And dd is such a great big sister. She's four & a half - looks like your dd will be 4 and a bit (from your ticker) when baby's due. It's a lovely age for them helping & understanding what's going on!!

:)

Yeah - I had wanted a 2 year age gap & watching that gap get bigger was really hard. But so far it really is perfect - I had forgotten what newborn sleep deprivation is like! Dd will happily play alone for short periods, she fetches things that I've forgotten to pick up before feeding/changing etc & she has some of her own things going on (eg ballet, preschool, friends that she likes to see). She's coped very well with the new addition & today asked for a boy doll so we can both look after a baby boy (she was adamant she would only like a sister too!!).

We told her when I was 9 weeks along. Only because it was Christmas & I was going to have to tell family - no way I could hide no alcohol whilst staying over for a few days! I wanted dd to know first. She did take it in & has been very excited since - but it has been a very long wait for her! If I did it over, I would want to wait until 20 weeks I think - but not really sure I'd have the will power tbh!! :haha:

Your little girl will be so excited when she finds out!! :happydance:

Have you told your dr? Any plans for early scans etc?

ah I know exactly what you mean. I'm so glad it's working out well :)

I want to tell DD first but I think she would tell everyone lol. I think I will have to tell my sister as we're very close and I'll either just accidentally say something or she'll notice I'm behaving differently. Also I'm guessing we'll need someone to babysit DD for the 12 week scan :S

That's so cute that she wants a boy doll! bless her xxx she sounds like a very loving / caring big sis :)

I'm feeling a bit on edge all the time tbh, part of me wants to try and get an early scan (would have to pay privately) but OH wasn't too keen. It's different for men though isn't it? I think it's subconsciously on my mind all the time whereas I don't think it is for the man lol. I'm a bit of a nervous nelly at the best of times, so I feel jittery like a mixture of anxiety and excitement. Like I'm scared to even add a ticker.. how sad is that?! lol x Sorry I'm waffling :dohh:

Edit - haven't told doctor yet as I found out so early, I was thinking of phoning about my day 21 blood tests on thursday (which would be a week since I had them done) and mentioning it then? is that about the right time or too early? (I can't remember what i did with DD! i was 4-5 when I found out though)

I was scared all the way through pregnancy hun :hugs: It's so exciting, but also pretty anxiety provoking. I think that's normal - I didn't relax until he was safely in my arms. I had several early scans & whilst they all reassured me at the time, 24 hrs later I'd be worried again. Do what's best for you though!

We didn't tell dd until we wanted everyone else to know - she literally told everyone she saw lol!! So good plan not to tell your dd until you're ready for the world to know :haha:

When are you 4 weeks? I'd just get to the dr & tell them - that way you'll know what their plan is :) Did you have a fertility specialist or just your Gp?

I made some phone calls yesterday morning, enquired about a private scan, and OH was seeming more up for it so I think I will try to book one about 8 weeks. I think it will be £90 well spent if it brings a little bit of relief.

Also I had to phone my GP to book DD's pre school jabs, so I also asked about my blood test results they said my progesterone level was 120.6...? from what I gather on the net that seems quite high I think? but then again from looking on the net that doesn't necessarily mean anything .. does it?
I then mentioned I had found out I was pregnant so she said I should refer myself to the midwife asap (it's all done online here now)

Also told my sister yesterday :) I looked after her daughter (9 months old) while she did a "keeping in touch" day at work and offered to cook dinner for her when she got back (I was cooking anyway so no trouble) and then told her :) she was very excited :) she knew about my ttc struggles this time around so I think when people know you've been ltttc they are maybe even more excited?? x

Hope everything is going well for you :) How is Luke sleeping/feeding? :) xx

So glad you told your gp & sister. Makes it feel more real does't it??? :)

I had early scans but never any blood tests for hcg or progesterone so I don't know much about them tbh. 120 sounds like a good number though. Hopefully it means a good egg & good corpus luteum to see you through first tri. How are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?

Ds is doing well <3 He usually wakes once or twice a night for a feed and then is straight back down. He's a very chilled & settled little man. Dd on the other hand comes bouncing in at 7am and is shouting good morning to everyone & trying to wake ds so she can play :dohh: Very cute & lovely to see!! :haha:
