Hiya ladies.

Pending a successful scan tomorrow, I'll be in the second tri at the end of the week. It's been a long 14 weeks!!!

All my books & iPhone apps tell me that morning sickness will get easier now but my new worst symptom could be round ligament pain. But what does this feel like? How do I know I've got it?

Gosh I'm not sure? Never heard of round ligament pain... Maybe my mw calls it something else? X

Basically it's just sort of stretching pains, but you will probably feel them down quite low down in the front and on either side, almost in your groin...I didn't find them too bad, but i definitely had them for a few weeks from about 15 to 17!

Round ligiment pain is when your uterus starts to grow and most people get in when they are entering the second trimester,

If can feel like a sharp or dull ache in your lower stomach, for me it just feels like an ache and it get be below my belly button or it can shoot across from the left side to the right, it doenst last long with me, just the odd ache here and there, its not nice but its not painful if you get me. for me the worst is when i sometimes get it with lower back pain then its un comfy but its a good reason to spend all day in bed.

Good luck on your scan! xx

i had alot of this pain yesterday, i felt it as a constant ache low down in the front of my tummy along with sharp shooting pains left and right side above pubic bone that only last a few seconds but was all day. I had a nice soak in the bath and a good nights sleep and so far feeling good today. xx

Mines feels like pulling an elastic band so far that it snaps.. Like a big shooting pain at my sides. The pain comes and goes haven't felt anything for 2 days now xx

Mine feels like Ive been stabbed in the stomach when I move too fast!

I hate them! Like shooting pains on my sides and stomach xo

It feels like round ligament pain :haha:
it's one of those things that you will know when you have it.

Basically it's stretching pain. It goes up and down your lower abdomen and pelvis. In my case, it's usually more to the sides, not in the middle.

You'll notice it when you get it. I had it during the first tri as well.

Yeah, you'll definitely know when you get it. But don't freak out because it's perfectly normal. In my case I get it on the sides and in my lower abdomen. It is unpleasant and sometimes it can get pretty damn painful but it only last for a few minutes and then its gone. :D

The apps lie lol i'm 20weeks and still have morning sickness lol
for me its a mix of different pains ive had at different times. sharp pains, dull aching pains, period pains x

You will know when you have those pains. They are awful. At least mine are.
When I sneeze or get up quickly...feels like my side ligaments are being ripped apart!!
