What happens at the first Dr's appointment?

At my first doctors app they checked my weight, checked my urine, bloodpressure and tried to work out how far gone iw as according to my lmp I was 6 weeks, they also sent a letter off to my local hospital to inform them off my pregnancy, Had to wait a few weeks for hos to write back and send me a app to see midwife which I was 11 weeks then. Had a nucual scan booked 2 weeks later, I never had a dating scan as I knew my lmp and had regular cycle..Hope this helps

 

Usually at the first doctors appt here (USA) we do blood work and family history. Then a week later we do pelvic exam and ultrasound. Mind you this normally takes place week 11-14.
