So nursery is pretty much done, feels slightly too early to pack a hospital bag! What is there to do at 27 weeks?? My due date feels so far away yet I feel pretty much prepared already. Please offer me some activities!! x

Your nursery is DONE????? Wow! Mine still looks like a bombsite :haha:

Ummmm........ not sure what you could do - maybe wash any second hand stuff you've been given?

Hahah washed!! Jeeeez im organised. This has to be a first. Yeah nursery is done apart from blackout blind and curtains. x

Haha... at 27 weeks, just enjoy the sensation where you can still sort of sleep, sort of eat, be able to move around and pick things up from the floor, turn in bed without having to move a tanker attached to you. :)

But seriously take advantage of this time to do all the things that might involve physical movement that you're still capable of doing which you need to get done before the birth. At week 27, I renovated, fixed the plumbing in the kitchen, finished up all my business flying for work and organised a holiday for week 32 (my last one before my life changes forever). After week 35, airlines won't let you on a plane.

Wow you are organised!

My nursery is still the junk room, and is now delayed as it was damaged in the earthquake and we have to wait for insurance inspection approval before we can arrange for the cracks to be plastered and painted over  there is NO way it will be ready for Boo.

Our room also has cracks and a broken window, they def will have to be done before she arrives .. but we'll have to pay out of our pockets for that.

So what am I doing at 28 weeks - lists, lots of lists  And sorting out the garden, veggie patch and general tidying (its spring here)
I'm putting off washing anything until about 34 weeks, hospital bag at 32 weeks and buying toiletries for Boo at 30 weeks .... god I'm sad, I have little milestone rewards I'm working towards!

Wow! You were active!! I start a new job in a week and a half (dont ask!) so just need to continue to twiddle my thumbs til then! Wish I had the money to baby shop every day haha. Might get everything into a pile for the hospital bag... :haha:

Hey, just try and relax and enjoy the last few peaceful months!! I wish you lived by me you could come and sort me out, or look after #1 so I could actually get stuff done.
I know what you means it does feel like a long way off yet, I guess there is still a third of the way to go... Even though I am impatient for this one to come out..
Perhaps do you Xmas shopping, you look like your due same time as me and although its not impossible to get the shopping done with a newborn maybe you dont want the hassle??

Not a bad idea to be honest! However I unfortunately do not have any money at the moment as Im only working part time at the mo and starting a new job in 10 days. Also waiting for the pregnancy grant to come in!! Could start an xmas list though haha x

ooo christmas shopping is a good idea ! To tell you the truth I haven't got my hospital bag packed yet at week 36 because I don't want my fav pair of pj's out of circulation till the last possible moment :) Ditto with the baby laundry, I might do it this or next weekend so it will still smell nice and fresh when the bub comes home.
