Went to view a flat yesterday and we got there mega early so decided to go for a Maccies

Anyway, out of the blue he says, I want to try for another baby straight after this one I was honestly waiting for him to laugh and he was being serious!

I said we would have to talk about it after babs is born!

Pointless thread but did any of your OHs say this?

no not at all mine said I'm going back on the patches and have to get my health issues seen to before we try for another. sorry if it may seem a bit stupid to ask but was he dissapointed in the gender at all?? x

Yeah mine is saying it too lol I think it's cute, but a little overwhelming!! I also just said 'let's talk about it after the baby is born'. Best way me thinks

Mine asked and joked about it.. Thing is, he joked first and then became serious. I asked him to just give me a year so that girly can start walking and me to shed extra weight before we start again. He is happy about the gender now, but want to try for a boy as well so that she can have a brother that is not too much younger than her. Maybe to protect her??? lol

unless between now and baby being born, they have discovered a way for the man to carry and give birth to the child, my oh wouldn't even dare think about asking. he wouldn't risk saying somethin so stupid to me with the state this pregnancy has left me in lol! plus it just wouldn't be feasible for us moneywise

LOL, no he was adamant we would only ever have one child, and it was going to be a boy. When SHE was born, I wasn't even finished being stitched after the labour when he said "so when can we start trying for that boy?" I said "I'm not even done with this labour, I'm hardly ready to think about another one!"

He kept mentioning it, and when our daughter was 6m I agreed to start TTC again. We got pregnant when she turned 1... and we're having another girl

My hubby and I will have 5 aged 7 and under and wont be preventing any future pregnancy although we wont be trying either.

My husband keeps saying we need to start trying to have another one right away because it took us a long time to get pregnant this first time around, and he doesn't want to be having kids after he's 35 (he'll be 30 end of this month). But we'll see how he feels after the little guy gets here

My OH was touching my belly yesterday and said "The baby can't wait for a brother or sister" I was a bit shocked because he/she isn't even born yet. Lol. I would like to wait a good 2 years before having another lol!

My husband said it would be perfectly fine with him if we have a baby shortly after haiden is born (of course atleast after my body heals)
He has 2 brothers and they are so far apart, and honestly just hate each other, they never got along and the other 2 are always in trouble with the law and going to jail.
He sees how close me and my twin sister are, nd I think he wants that for our children.

LOL, I think the most exciting part of finding out we were expecting, to my OH, was to decide how close in age our kids would be, how many kids we'd have, where we'd live, etc. OMG, I didn't even wanna THINK about doing this again until recently when I've stopped being so afraid of pregnancy.

Yeah mines said it too, I have told him to let me have this one first please and at least wait until our ds (1) is in nursary!! He does want another girl though so I have said in a few years then we can talk about it again!!

Def think it would be a different story if they had to carry them and give birth though!!!

My DH and I have discussed, but if it happens, fantastic, if not, ok.

I'm 43 (44 when the baby is born) and we had been trying for about 15-18 months since an m/c in August 2009 and were a month or so (honestly!) from IVF, when I fell pregnant naturally. I consider us really lucky so far that our little one-to-be seems healthy that while it would be nice to have more than one, I never honestly thought we would get here!

however, I told him that we could have lots the minute he could carry them all! He laughed and had another (growl) glass of wine!

They'd maybe just prefer to get it all out of the way in a longer stretch rather than wait so long and have to put up with us been pregnant all over again lol
